PaulC
Never knew he died until i read it on here. Lawrence of Arabia is one of the greatest films ever made and he was superb in it. Haven't seen too much else with him in. RIP

VT Supporter trekka Posted December 16, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 16, 2013 A couple of tidbits from QI: Richard Harris once went on stage drunk and fell down on the stage floor. Someone in the audience shouted "Harris is drunk!" at which point Harris stood up and said "If you think I'm drunk, wait until you see O'Toole" Peter O'Toole got drunk with someone in a pub and they both decided to see a play. O'Toole nudged his friend and said "You'll like this; this is where I come on...Oh shit!" As Bicks said, he's had a good life. RIP.
VT Supporter mjmooney Posted December 16, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 16, 2013 Only just found out that he grew up in Leeds. And I was even more amazed to discover that LoA was his first film role, and that he was an unknown when he got the role.

The Fun Factory
A couple of classic stories is one that he went for a drink in Paris and woke up in Corsica. And when he went on a drinking binge with a young Michael Caine, Caine woke up and said 'what time it is' and O'Toole said 'Never mind what time it is, what f**king day it is'! lol
