Same year, wrong game. We beat the at WHL in September 2008.

Our aggregate score against Spurs under Lambert is not pretty reading at all!

Under Lambert it's P5, L5 F0, A15.

Good God that is horrendous. I don't believe in being "due" a result, each game is it's own unique set of circumstances, but surely it's about **** time we turned up against them?

What is it about their style of play that Lambert struggles with? Are all of those results against Villas Boas?

It's a poor match up for us, 11 v 11.

In fairness it was a struggle during the latter part of the MON reign against them aswell when we were scrapeing draws with Modric running the show.

I liken it to how Pompey used to be a bogey team for us e.g. the physical and fast defence they had of Campbell, Distin and Glen Johnson used to mark Carew, Gabby and Ashley Young out of the game.

It's a bit similar with Spurs, Kyle Walker, Vertonghen, Kaboul always tend to keep our strikers quiet and their midfield tends to dominate ours cue the one sided results.

I expect the games to be closer this year, we're due a result against them at VP anyway.
