turnbull
There be a few of us... Hello! Hello to you too. How many of you IOW Villans are actually Vectensians, or Caulkheads if you prefer?
Dodgyknees
I'm not one of the Vectis-Caulkheads unforunately! But I do love my little diamond Isle My partner is born 'n bred here and her parents house is actually one of the oldest in Cowes.
turnbull
Love Cowes. We always stay on Waverley Park and go over to the West on the chain ferry. We used to time it the week leading up to Cowes week, just as it was all kicking off. Great atmosphere there.
Ponky
I grew up in Cowes, Phillip Island, the IOW's Aussie cousin. The pub there is called the Isle of Wight Hotel.

trekka Posted December 13, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 13, 2013 Not IOW but I live close! I moved down to Portsmouth (I hear the boos from here ) from Brum about 5 years ago - admittedly I spend most of my time in London at the moment (which is bad!) but I get back to the South Coast when I can (every weekend for now until I can move back!).
