Jermain Defoe. The amount of goals he has scored is unbelievable.

 

 

I'd assumed he had won the FA cup at Pompey.  He was at the club the year they won it, but he was cup tied.  Talk about gutted.

Especially considering Spurs won the League Cup that season.

Shearer. Fair enough he won the premier league with Blackburn but that is it, he could have won everything if he just moved to Man Utd when he had the chance.

 

 

One of the rare people who turned down Manchester United twice. Once to join Blackburn, once to join Newcastle.  I understand why he did it both times (wages, and a chance to join his boyhood heroes) and I don't think he regrets either decision.

I think Defoe is leading so far just for the year he managed to be associated with 2 clubs and managed to avoid a winners medal from both of their cup wins.

 

He'll obviously never win anything with England either.


 

To call Shearer 'unsuccessful' is stretching it.

 

id use it to describe his punditry career :P
