    Cheltenham 2017

Just remembered a couple of you had a good festival last year. @CVByrne & @brumerican get your tips out. Please
  2. So it's nearly time for the world cup of national hunt racing and the gold cup is shaping up to be a cracker this year. Selections: Douvan and Thistlecrack are obvious naps and Vroum Vroum Mag should win the Mares assuming Annie goes in the Champion Hurdle. I think Limini should justify the low price and if un de sceaux gets a clear run then there's nothing to challenge. No more heroes in the RSA will shorten from the current price and won't be outside the top 2. Paddy power are doing an offer if you horse finishes second then you get your money back as a free bet so there could be decent money to be made. For the Gold cup I like Don Cossack and Djackadam. Don Cossack to win if he jumps and I don't think Vautour will get the trip. Cue card is definitely one to watch after his "breathing" operation. Antepost I have Don Cossack + Un De Sceaux in two singles and a double ( i had faugheen in the trixie but thankfully it was NRNB) and I took the 7/1 special on the double of No more heroes and Limini too.
  3. Was thinking about it a few weeks back how there was pretty much a thread for every other sport bar this one. Apologies if this clashes with the Beat the bookies thread but I think there's so much more to talk about than merely betting. Think the Haldon Gold Cup is a fascinating renewal today, Cue Card has a pretty much perfect record when fresh but has to give a nice few pounds to some interesting contenders. Should make for a cracking little race.
  4. With Cheltenham just around the corner I thought it might be an idea to create this thread for build up for the festival. Sad news that Sprinter Sacre will now not be running due to his injury/illness and nor will Cue Card... Ireland again will definitely be bringing a lot of suprises over.
  5. Don't think there is a thread on it yet... So, the 3 day Aintree meeting starts on Thursday, which obviously includes the Grand National itself on Saturday. Looking like some cracking races over the 3 days, including Sprinter Sacre in the Melling Chase on Friday. Can he be beaten? Who is your tip for the national?
