  3. Yo yo homies, Gameweek 4 is coming up (Gameweek 2 in terms of entries, but whatever) so make sure to get your predictions in before 11:30am BST on Saturday 29th August. First lets see how the table stacks up after last week... Villa89 leads the pack with his copy and paste of Lawro's predictions, which makes the rest of us lesser than that Liverscum loving clearing in the woods. Think about that for a moment, Lawro has beaten us all in his prediction. If you haven't shot yourself at that news, then onto this gameweek with my predictions first... Chewie Newcastle 0-2 Arsenal Villa 2-1 Sunderland Bournemouth 2-2 Leicester Chelsea 3-1 Palace Liverpool 2-1 WestHam ManCity 3-0 Watford Stoke 1-1 WestBrom Spurs 1-2 Everton Southampton 1-0 Norwich Swansea 1-2 ManUtd When you place your prediction below, please do the following... Copy the above prediction from my post, this limits mistakes if the dumbass before you messed up the formatting. Change your name from Chewie to whatever your damn name is ONLY change the numbered scores. That doesn't mean change 0-2 to something insane like 2*€-#¢1, change only the numbers! DO NOT change the team names DO NOT add spacing into the formatting HomeTeamNoSpaces[space]score[hyphen]score[space]AwayTeamNoSpaces is the formatting layout, but you shouldn't need to worry about that because you copied and pasted from my post, deleted the numerical score and then entered your number in its place... didn't you? And remember, after this week... ... so you wanna be near the top! Good Luck.
  4. This poll will be open for the first week of the month.
  5. Guess it's time for this thread again - seeing as the one last year was opened in March. Linked with Diego from Fenerbache today in The Metro (blacklisted so couldn't start a thread about it) http://metro.co.uk/2015/04/13/aston-villa-cleared-to-make-transfer-bid-for-fenerbache-midfielder-diego-5148535/ Nothing pertinent there but imagine signing him - that'd be the most exciting signing we'd made in years, for me.

  8. Assuming we sign Gestede, Veretout and Adebayor, how does everyone see us lining up on the first day of season?? Not the team you would pick, the team that you think will start the match, and no hedging your bets, just pick 11 players and a formation.... I think as follows - Bunn Hutton Richards Clark Amavi Gueye Veretout Sinclair Grealish Ayew Adebayor
  9. Hey all, I've decided to pick this up since Rodders has said he isn't doing it this year, and TheAuthority went missing in action after he started it 2 weeks ago. To keep track of everything properly i'll make this the start of the 'game' (a clean slate if you will) although it is actually Game Week 3 in Premier league terms. It's obviously very easy to play, guess the correct score and you'll get 3 points, guess just the right result only and you get 1 point. Games are not fun without rules, and boy have I got some Gameweeks will follow those on fantasy.premierleague.com, so expect some 'double' game weeks with some teams playing twice in one week. Cut off time will also follow the site above, i'll post this along with the fixtures each week but for weekend games its usually 11:30am UK time on the Saturday. No editing your post after the cutoff time Have I made a sexy excel sheet to keep all this in, but it requires a certain format to do all the calculations and shit. I'm gonna get real bored, real quick if i have to start entering data manually so as such you will see that there is a specific format for the team names and how the results are laid out, it is pretty much... HomeTeamNoSpaces[space]score[space]score[space]AwayTeamNoSpaces I'll post the 'template' each week so you can just copy and paste it and then change the scores, but not the team names please. It would be somewhat handy if you could keep track of how many gameweeks you have played and put that in your post along with your username. It cuts down on the copy and pasting. I've also decided to offer a kind of prize. Each week (starting Gameweek 5) I will take the prediction of one of the top 3 players in the 'league' and place a £5 accumulator bet on the results. If that accumulator wins then I shall give you 20% of the profit. Payment will ONLY be made via Paypal after I have been able to transfer the money from the betting platform into my bank account. I think that is about it for rules and regulations, obviously if no one is interested then i'll just let this die a death. So, onto the first week, please copy and paste the below without changing any of the spacing... Chewie ManUtd 2 0 Newcastle Palace 2 2 Villa Leicester 1 2 Spurs Norwich 0 1 Stoke Sunderland 0 3 Swansea WestHam 2 1 Bournemouth WestBrom 0 2 Chelsea Everton 1 3 ManCity Watford 0 2 Southampton Arsenal 2 1 Liverpool GWs=1 P.s Gimme a shout if you want to see anything changed or have any suggestions on how to better do this. Edit: Hit post before deciding I wanted to change the title to Premier League Predictions 15/16 GW3 (New Start for all) - Mods?
  10. Thought I would start this thread, as it's pretty hard to post in every individual player thread as presently this team is a work in progress and as exciting as that is it's also quite frightening to think how we don't genuinely know enough about any of our new signings to predict how the upcoming games will pan out - even if we know their attributes and potential. It's too early to jump to too many conclusions. But presently it feels like we lack leadership up front and at the back. Things break down as soon as the ball goes forward, I know Gabby has played as a lone striker but he has been pretty poor in that role so far. Richards has been as good as he has been bad at the back, I don't think he should be captain even if I feel he could still be a great signing for us. I feel we desperately need Gil and Grealish in the side as an attacking outlet to drive us forward, and hopefully Traore will feature soon. Gestede maybe limited but he needs to start and stay in the box. I remain cautiously hopeful about Ayew and Vertout, hopefully time they will get confidence and gel as it feels they are trying to hard or being far too cautious. Amavi and Gana have showed enough to tell me they are the real deal even if the latter still needs to sort certain things out. What are your main worries/hopes? Do you think anyone's face doesn't fit at the moment?
  11. I think Barcelona will retain the trophy this year, what do you guys think?
  12. 1 - Guzan 2 - Richards 3 - Richardson 4 - Westwood 5 - Okore 6 - Clark 7 - Bacuna 8 - Delph 9 - Benteke 10 - Grealish 11 - Agbonlahor Then base the rest on the last number/position e.g. 13 Given 12 Hutton 15 Senderos 16 Baker 23 Cissokho 17 N'Zogbia 18 Gardner 14 Sanchez 21 Sinclair 20 Gil 19 Kozak
  13. As its coming to that time of year again I just wanted to know if anyone has any information regarding our Kit for next season? Plus we all love it when Imarsha gets his designs on the go
  14. Can anyone advise which suites exactly season ticket holders can have a pre match pint in and the fees , the season ticket info states Access to matchday suites for pre and post-match food and drinks - the Holte Pub, the Holte Suite and The Centenary Suite in the North Stand (entrance fee applies) I have emailed the club on three separate occasions but they for whatever reason decline to email back , i am aware i can use the one in the indoor academy but have no idea about the others
  15. A heads up for all ST holders. This seasons ST pack was delivered this morning. Something for you all to look forward to rather than the usual bills!

  18. Thought it might be an idea to look at our squad for this coming season, and see where the strengths and weaknesses are. Also, I think it might be an idea to look at how we have improve from last season. Squad: GK: Guzan / Bunn / Steer - No improvement DL: Amavi / Richardson / Bennett / Cissokho - Vast improvement already, especially if Amavi can hit the ground running. DC: Richards / Clark / Baker / Crespo / Okore / Senderos- Certainly an improvement on numbers. Will Richards be more solid than Vlaar? DR: Hutton / Bacuna - No improvement, although Crespo can also fill in here. MC: Gueye, Westwood, Sanchez, Gardner, Veretout* - If Veretout does sign, this could be our best midfield for years. Vast improvement. AM: Gil, N'Zogbia, Grealish, Cole, Sinclair - Strong but could be better. Certainly looks better than the start of the 14/15 season. ST: Ayew, Agbonlahor, Kozak, Robinson, Adebayor - Losing Benteke is a blow but 'all round' we are stronger and should cope better. Not relying on one man is a positive. Stronger. (Might have missed some out) Looking at that I think we are stronger. If I were to look at the players in as this: -1 = weaker, 0 = same, +1 = stronger. I think we'd be like this. Bunn > Given (0) Richards > Vlaar (0) Amavi > Richardson (+1) Crespo > Senderos (+1) Gueye > Snake (+1) Veretout > Cleverley (+1) Sinclair > Weimann (+1) Ayew > Agbonlahor (+1) Adebayor > Benteke (-1) So, I think we are looking much stronger already. If we can add another midfielder, maybe a winger and another striker. I feel we could crack on and have a good season! How do you all see it?
  19. Iam in the probably camp in the minute. Not quite sure why - but whilst I would be devastated to see us go down - I am that bored and saddened by the state of the premiership - I would be more up for it - if we were starting next season in the championship - rather than scratching about for the odd win in another season of premier league struggles

With Praet looking a real possibility, and Gil looking like hes staking a real claim in Portugal, we would seem to have a very strong midfield with good depth. Delph Gueye Grealish Sinclair Gil NZogbia Westwood Sanchez Gardner Cole Some of these might be sold or loanec, but its gonna be hard to keep them all happy... Good problem to have i guess Praet
  21. AndFos

So, what is your best XI at the moment? Here is mine: Bench: Bunn Hutton Baker Bennett Westwood Gardner Sinclair Nzogbia Gil Tonev Robinson Kozak Agbonlahor Of course, there will be new left back. All of a sudden, the midfiels looks quite good!
