  1. Any Aussie in or around the Premier League is big news down here. Jordan is no exception: Link here Good luck, mate!
  2. Anyone see him on Goals on Sunday this morning. Funny as **** when he swore saying Matthew Etherington was a clever bastard. Spoke very highly of us saying how the club is in his heart and how much he loves it and especially the supporters. He said he felt the club should still be up amongst the top 6 and challenging for the top 4. Also said what a great manager Mon was, how he enjoyed playing for him and how the club probably regret letting him going. Said a few uncomplimentary things about Houllier. Had high praise for Gabby and said that we still had some very good players and should not be struggling. Basically said what most of us know I guess. They showed a fair few of his goals for us and it brought back a few good recent memories although given the tripe served up the last couple of seasons it seemed like a lifetime ago.
  3. On the bench today for the first time. Can't say I know too much about him but think he is highly thought of by the club. Good luck to him Hopefully Indiana is his real name and not his dogs
  4. Mail saying we've actually made a bid for Tonev, also some tidbits on Charlie Austin and Bent and Benteke Mail
  5. Talented striker signed today from Norwich, Imagine will go to U23's
  6. 17 year old Youth Team prospect from Solihull is training with the 1st team.
  7. Would be a good addition to the side
  8. So with the untimely death of Mihajlovic, the legendary Serbian whose freekicks terrified Serie A through the 90s and early 00s, the thought arises... Who is the Greatest Taker of Freekicks Of All Time (the GTFOAT, if you will)? Mihajlovic and Juninho Pernambuco jump to mind, but who else is in the title fight?
  9. All the talk tomorrow will be about Albrighton but does anyone remember a centre back with the confidence of Clark at the ripe old age of 20???? The lad was/is/will be superb.
  10. There are quite a few players we think are rubbish, but how about the good ones? Not necessarily Gardwood, Cristiano Ronaldo, Agüero or Messi, just the ones the scout in you would recommend (preferably in lower and foreign leagues). I'll start with Bernardo Silva. He's not big, he's not fast but he is special.
  11. Solid enough link for it's own thread? Seems to be a lot of chatter about this one...
  12. This deserves its own thread. So sad to just read the news. Wonderful football, great left foot and was very disappointed when we sold him. Thoughts of with his family and loved ones.
  13. Intriguing young player with a lot of hype behind him. "The next GOAT" and all that. I love seeing teenagers playing at the highest level for big clubs...I hate Manchester United but I'll root for this kid.
  14. As this one seems very close I thought he deserved his own thread. I think he is a very useful player and has always looked solid for Wales. Does this mean Amavi is off? I'd be happy with this signing as he has Premier league quality should a miracle happen and we were to go up. Definitely a player who could help us push for the play offs. Pleased if this goes ahead.
  15. Not another one!! https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6292982/jlloyd-samuel-dead-aged-37-aston-villa-bolton-car-crash/
  16. Keeper on his way in on loan from Atletico. Corals have stopped taking bets ?
  17. Not sure how much of this is Man City making his availability for a loan move known to all or how much of it is us really wanting him but we have been linked with Scott Sinclair overnight: Daily Mail A few blogs have picked it up too, that Italian Sky Sports guy Gianluca Di Marizo also has it and he seems reasonably well respected. Admittedly I'd never heard of him until the Podolski to Inter rumour blew up and he seemed to be the guy who gave that credibility. Anyway, it's an interesting move if it happens, Sinclair had an injury hit loan spell at West Brom last year but if he is fit and in form then he might be exactly what we need. I'd rather have a wide man in the side playing ahead of blokes that just don't have it (Weimann) or have it but don't appear to be interested (N'Zogbia) so fingers crossed on this one.
  18. Considering so many have asked for it and he's dominating other threads here is a thread for the next Aston Villa signing a link as well https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tammy-abraham-aston-villa-transfer-20914606
  19. So... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37220214 Yes from me based on the very little I have seen and the few bits I have heard. Pacey, strong, scores goals. 19 Championship goals last season. Get him in and be done with it!
