  1. Sister Friede is kicking my arse. Might actually have to go elsewhere for a bit.
  2. The framerate in this game is pretty unforgivable considering how heavily the gameplay relies on precise timing. Pontiff was really bad but it was at least mostly contained to when his clone was up, Yhorm was pretty choppy but it didn't seem to affect the fight much, Dancer however was just stupid. The whole fight must average <20fps with spikes in single figures. I appreciate I'm on outdated hardware but it wasn't outdated when this game was released. Shame 'cause I'm really enjoying it otherwise. Revisiting Anor Londo in particular was a nice nostalgia trip.
  3. Smouldering Lake is like they thought the Chalice Dungeons and Lost Izalith were both such big hits with the player base that combining the two couldn't possibly go wrong..
  4. Four bosses in and I'm enjoying DS3 so far. Nice to get back to a bit of a faster paced game. Though I will say the frame rate is choppy as balls on PS4 and man are stored inputs back with a vengeance. Once again came at it with the best intentions of trying something different yet here I am at level 24 with the trusty Grass Crest Shield on my back and 30 points in Dex..
  5. I think if I'd known how easy it was to farm the Rotten and skip half the game it wouldn't have been so bad. There's just more annoying stuff in DS2 than any of the other FS games I've played.
  6. Quite possibly the worst experience I've had in gaming. There was a 7 month break between starting and finishing the platinum after I reached my wit's end at the first attempt (probably somewhere around Iron Keep). Pretty sure I won't be picking this one up again. Onto DS3..
  7. I don't speak Spansh but I'm fairly certain I heard a 'loco loco Dibu' in there.
  8. Full article: https://theathletic.com/3898894/2022/11/16/emi-martinez-argentina-world-cup/
  9. Interesting comments from Cutler on Emi about how seriously he took the responsibility of being made vice captain - and now captain - to the point where he was annoying people with how full on he is. Full vid:
  10. Pretty sure it's the same ball they used last time we beat them.
  11. I can only assume if we're appointing Ayestaran our next step will be to activate Ganso's release clause then pick up Keisuke Honda on a free in January.
  12. You can't really attribute probability to odds in a market like this, there's such low liquidity it doesn't take much to turn the odds upside down. As an example tonight's West Ham game has around £200k matched on the Betfair exchange, compared to this market having about £3k matched in total. Markets like this can be heavily influenced by insider knowledge as well, in a way football results can't really. What is interesting is that he dropped from almost double figures in some places yesterday to as low as 3s this morning without much in the way of news, everything since then - and his current price - has just been a reaction to that (and Twitter guff).
  13. Emery's odds coming in fast, is it just VTers betting on it?
  14. Amorim doesn't really play with wingers, but that doesn't mean he doesn't play with width. One thing that I keep seeing being mentioned in relation to Amorim is his infectious personality, charisma, and approachability, and watching Sporting last night it was interesting to see his players run straight over to him after they scored. What was evident today - as well as during most of Deano's reign - is that we've got a bunch of players that would probably be described as the type who 'need an arm round the shoulder', players that respond to encouragement and need to feel loved, rather than the more disciplinarian approach we're led to believe Gerrard had. Amorim might be just what we need to bring back the feel good factor at Bodymoor. Or he might not be. Who knows.
  15. scenes when the players reveal Deano gave the team talk via Skype.
  16. I actually thought he might fluke a decent performance or a win tonight and manage to keep himself in a job for another week, but **** me this is awful.
  17. People in here now saying we shouldn't have sold Trez and El Ghazi is just as mental as people defending Gerrard. It was stupid to get rid of Bertie and not replace him but we might be able to recall him anyway if a new coach wants him in the squad. And in the unlikely scenario it does end up being Poch this squad probably suits him anyway. At Spurs he mostly played either a 3-4-2-1 (with two 10s) or a narrow 4-2-3-1 with non-traditional wide players like Eriksen and Alli. Difference is he still knows how to use all of the pitch.
  18. Won't profess to be an expert on either but Poch quite often played a 3-4-2-1 with Spurs which I think would really suit our current squad, Emery's favoured 4-4-2 doesn't exactly fit with what we have and we could do without another squad overhaul. One thing that does worry me is a lot of our current problems seem to stem from abandoning our plan, our idealogy, transfer policy etc and handing the keys to the kingdom to Steven Gerrard. @OutByEaster? recently made the point that our next head coach should be a part of an ongoing plan, top cog in a well-oiled cog machine, rather than having free reign over all things AVFC. 'Moving heaven and earth' for Poch doesn't sound like we're about to tell him to stick to our plan. But then it's Poch, so.. you'd be mad not to right?
  19. Might have something to do with the no.10 in that video spending most of those 10 months on the bench.
  20. So you're saying we need to deal with their manager?
