  1. Isn't swearing a sin? What about praying to a saint, is that idolatory and also a sin? But really, who cares? I know plenty of gays, some cool, some tossers, same as anyone else, I just think that sometimes people want a flag to fight behind to make them feel special/different to the 'norm'. Just another yoghurt-knitter argument, if you're happy and not harming anyone, just get on with it and enjoy your life, regardless of sexuality/beliefs... (The above does not of course apply to the bluenose - may they burn in hell!)
  2. "Better musically?" - sounds like chin-stroking to me! I'm not saying Blur aren't talented (though less so since the mighty Coxon left), but they don't inspire imo the same passion and upandat'em rush that Oasis have, where you're not really listening for a sus 7th, but something to lose yourself in. Still, each to their own, it's always good to talk to people who get passionate about music as well as football!
  3. What a load of rubbish - I'm a massive Oasis fan, quite like Blur but they're not in the same field, you seem to have forgotten that Bowies sued them, and if you think ripping off him & The Kinks instead of The Beatles & The Faces makes them a better band thats down to your personal taste, not one being better musically than the other. By the way, my collection includes plenty of variety, from Lee 'Scratch' Perry to Curtis Mayfield, Motorhead to Sly & The Family Stone - if you really want a band that push musical boundaries it ain't Blue, check out the Super Furries, probably the best band at taking a melting pot of influences from folk to techno & making something original wihtout sounding liek they're trying too hard!
  4. I too have seen both bands live, & I'd rather watch Oasis every time! I go to a gig to hear good music, not to watch some mockney clearing in the woods jump around - if he stayed still, he might be able to keep in tune!
  5. Blur could never cut it live, Albarn's a terrible singer away from the studio! They did a couple of good albums (currently disowned by the singer himself), Oasis have gone through their dip and are back on track while Albarn admits he's knackered without Coxon. Oasis are still one of the most entertaining bands around, just wish the Roses reformation rumours were true, now that would be worth seeing!
