Daily Mail alone made over 170m in digital advertising last year, the number of stories regarding Harry and Meghan is a key driver to people to their site. The mail online pretends they have had enough of them, but I suspect today alone there will be at least 5 stories on them, not that I want to check this.

For transparency, they raised 170m in revenue, that's not what they 'made'. Turnover for show, profits for dough!

  3. Been a long time since I've signed up to any new sites so I can't give definitive answers but as far as I think...

    1. Most sites should have a button somewhere you can click to convert the odds into the format you prefer. If you can't find it you can compare on a converter site such as this.

    2. Maybe...but unlikely. I think most places only award you the free bet after the first bet has been settled. You'll be able to put the bet on whatever you want (some sites have minimum odds requirements) but you'll only be able to put it on after the ENG ISR game has finished.

    3. Yes, certainly it is easy to get money back from most of the more well known sites.

    4. Lots of other things to consider. Be sure to know that with your free bets you won't get the stake element back. eg. If you back something at 2/1 with a free bet tenner you'll just be returned £20 not £30. Be careful of wagering requirements! Some sites offer a free bet but then insist you gamble it 5, 10 or even 20 times before you can withdraw it. Also..I like to gamble but I think there are plenty of others who could advise on you being able to guarantee money back on your free bets by laying them off on an an exchange...not my bag due to the lack of buzz but I'm sure more prudent VT'ers can help with that.

Poor young tennis fans who are told to walk straight, run in straight lines, hold towels and umbrellas for those multi millionaire players. There is no reason for a 14 year old kid to be holding an umbrella for Nadal or Djokovic. Why not get a stand for an umbrella to just stand there? Do we really have to get a kid to do it? If you really want for someone to hold an umbrella for a multimillionaire sports star, maybe get their coach to do it if it's REALLY necessary.

Think you may be overthinking this a little, I'm fairly sure most kids who get to "ball boy" would be thrilled to be stood next to a megastar. Hell, when I was a 15 year old boy I'd have volunteered to lick the sweat off Steffi Graf's armpits myself, never mind hand her a towel!

Not running, I know, but certainly endurance training: I just did 31km cross country skiing. A personal best, length wise. My triceps were cramping so bad the last five k, I thought my arms would fall off.

Again, Russia is the bad guy.

Interesting that you’ve brought Grozny into the debate over the last page or two. Were the Russians there violent suppressors of a group seeking self determination or a sovereign nation defending it’s territory against terrorists.

Does Chechnya have any greater right to independence than Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk?

    Yes, I know.

I take your point about the UK’s covid dip being worse than other nations. How much of that do you attribute to the make up of U.K. economy (service heavy) and how much to not being in the EU? Similarly, from where we stand, how much better do you think those forecasts would be if were still a member? Maybe you can point me to the last time the U.K. outperformed those 3 nations over such a period whilst still a member to give me an idea?

We're currently like a marathon runner coming in in 8th place putting on a sprint finish after the other runners have finished.

Claiming this as vindication is utterly laughable.

Not sure I really follow the analogy.

The IMF has the UK outperforming the EU’s biggest economies until 2026, that’s quite the sprint.
