  1. i think the circular one looks too top heavy with the text. if they filled the bottom with "football club" and ditched the 1874 i would've liked it a bit more.
  2. that's what it reminds me of! i was wracking my brain trying to place it. it looks great imo. it was very jarring at first but it's grown on me already. shame it'll lose.
  3. i can't remember exactly but there's been a few times i thought i was being under the radar but was just beaten to it
  4. option 1, but we all know it's gonna be the generic round one.
  5. i swear any time i go to see if a player is available on the wire, @rhyscartwright_avfc has him already. every time
  6. what was the point in that? there was like 5 questions
  7. i don't mean to be a buzzkill i swear!
  8. i can't lie, his spell at arsenal does concern me a bit but there is no arguing against his record anywhere else. he's basically guaranteed silverware.
  9. I don’t think it’s that deep. It’s just poking fun.
  10. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive…
  11. To be fair I did forget that he directly followed the Wenger era. Might have had something to do with it.
  12. Why anyone would want Dyche is beyond me. If he plays the same way he did at Burnley (and to my knowledge he hasnt shown he can play any other way) then there’s gonna be a ceiling for where we’ll finish. How many top tier sides play low block counter attack? I can think of Atletico and that’s it. I admire what he did for them, but he isn’t for us and where these owners want to go.
  13. I think people underestimate how rubbish Emery was at Arsenal. He’s great in Spain, but I wouldn’t want to bet a fortune that he’d be a success for us given what we saw when he was over here. He rejected Newcastle so I imagine he would reject us anyways.
  14. sporting were the rank outsiders in portugal. they hadn't won a title since 2002. literally only benfica and porto have won it since amorim upset the odds. and that was on the back of the club being in a deep financial crisis, losing key players for nothing and fans literally attacking players at the training ground. it was a two team league, and he went and won it anyway.
  15. personally my number one choice is thomas frank. fits the bill perfectly as someone we can build an identity with and grow with the club, rather than hiring a big name who'll be off to a CL or top international job first chance they get. got goals out of watkins at brentford and plays a system that would work well with the players we have. experience in working with data and analytical based recruitment too.
  16. i like how you just assume that just because you've never heard of him, anyone that wants him hasn't either and are just posturing like they know-it-all. why do people do this?
  17. i really like the idea of thomas frank.
  18. as much as i think he's a limited player, i'm personally not gonna get mad at him for what he said. he's not the best in interviews and it's understandable he might say the wrong thing in a pressure situation like that.
  19. i remember them claiming that city had a deal to sign grealish in place before the euros and that turned out to be true. i'm hanging my hopes on this.
  20. You're 4-1, about to be 5-1, what more do you want? If I'd have started Pittman it probably would've swung it the other way.
  21. Just goes to show what good coaching does for players. Unbelievable how this team is 5-1. Haven’t played any true contenders really but we don’t have any business beating the Packers or Ravens.
  22. nevermind. think of the shirt sales though
  23. gutted i couldnt get tickets. what a game.
