  1. The strangest part of all this is that we seem to have been the ones that have instigated this, if he's part of the Rhodes deal. There doesn't seem to have been any manoeuvring from the player, at least from the outside.
  2. I think there's been a greater sense of what the problem's been and we've had a plan this time, rather than just throwing money into the void in the hope that it clicks
  3. Sorry, so he is! I couldn't find him when I first looked, but checked again and found him. Panic over.
  4. Clearly he's resting the first team for Garde's first game on Monday
  5. Bring Gil on for Gabby at half time. I'd give Grealish a chance for a little while, he and Gil link up well so you'd fancy him, with Gil on the pitch, to pick up his game a bit. Quite happy with defence so far, despite any doubts initially. Ayew and Hutton have looked good down the right - if only Hutton could put a decent ball in...
  6. As far as I'm aware, we wouldn't be able to register him until January - same goes for any team who signs him. I could be wrong though... I believe we can - as he hasn't been registered for them. Not sure how that works with us though, whether we have enough spaces or whether we don't need to fully register him till Jan. Well I did say I could be wrong! So could I tbh! We'll soon see I guess I'm not too sure I'd want to find out.

  9. I think it'll pan out that Hank will give him time to make some form of escape before coming after him, forcing him to go into hiding. And it will be the guys he promised to cook for that put his family/Jesse in danger. I mean those guys must be royally pissed off that they paid $millions for Heisenberg only for him to get out off the game and disappear.
  10. I hate the fact that he says we were captivated by his industry...of course being even vaguely creative has nothing to with it...Does he genuinely believe that the only think we want to see in the team is industry?
  11. I think tonight was a chance for some of the guys who aren't going to get much of a look in to show that they can have a part to play and then they'd be given a shot on saturday against braga where we'll see the first 11 i believe and on the most part no one really showed much. I thought delph was by far the best player on the pitch, in the second half he was the only who looked interested. Bannan was very disappointing though as was albrighton but hopefully it's a case of jet lag and the fact we were playing a team who are ready for their season this weekend. Overall it was a pretty woeful night of football for both teams though.
  12. the referee is Chiu Kok
  13. Short term not probably correct words. What I mean is you either get someone ready for now, or someone for the future. Given is the same as many others we have bought - Ginola, Schmeichal, Fashanu and many more - we are hoping they can reproduce what they did 3 yrs ago, when the truth is, they cant. Freidal was different , he was the best keeper in the league when we bought him and was coming up to the all time consecutive record - he was STILL at his best - given isnt, and thats why he hasnt played for nearly 3 yrs from what i was aware last season was the first season in a while when he hasn't been first choice? Given would be the one for me, I've just never really rated Foster.
  14. i must say that despite being rather shite there were moments where we knocked the ball 'round rather nicely (mainly bannan) and delph looked pretty composed at times and held the ball well...i thought that bradley was pretty poor and i was quite disappointed with him, but too soon to judge him. Clearly the league is a priority and personally i'm happy with that, but i think houllier should have come out and said this, but realistically that's never going to happen. The most important thing is that this result does not hamper our league form, which fingers crossed is getting better, but we'll only find that out on saturday. also heskey and petrov were rather rather poor.
  15. to be honest i thought we were much the better team and it was really our defence that have let us down tonight...and our inability to cross a ball. ireland looked rather promising i thought tonight, seemed to be in the right places. and with all these injuries january cannot come soon enough.
  16. It's freaking freezing up here in aberdeen...it's been snowing for about 4-5 days or so. it sounds as though it's been pretty snowy everywhere except brum
