There may well be some serious interest in this guy in the summer. If you were a newly promoted side looking for a starting 9, or a more established side looking for a rotation 9 who can become the main man in a couple of years, then Duran would be of interest. Let’s hope that we can keep him happy here because I would hate to see him leave.

  2. Probably bin dunne but I watched a couple of good ones on the Barkley marathon over the weekend, one on Prime called The Race That Eats Its Young and then another on YouTube called Where Dreams Go To Die.
    Would highly recommend both!

  3. Can’t get over the fact there isn’t enough space on the benches for people to sit down - I used to go into the Holte Suite around 2pm and if there wasn’t space at a table then fair enough, I hadn’t got there in time. But at the prices they’re charging you should be able to sit down to eat the overpriced food!

I know that Ollie's goal came directly from us breaking from a Fulham corner, but I hadn't realised at the time that it was Ollie himself that headed that corner away at the near post before sprinting the full length of the field to tap it home at the other end.

    Bravo Oliver.

And that was only his second best headed clearance of the match as well

You can be. I bought an outside light from B&Qitall using Apple Pay on my portable telephone. Took it back for a refund as it failed after a couple of days or so and no problem.

Not at Asda - in the café where they tried to fob me off with coins which I didn’t want and again at the customer service desk. I’ve been told to go back in with my card to claim the refund. It’s ‘only’ £1.75 but it’s the principle of it! Perfect for this thread really.

  6. What an awful performance yesterday. Nowhere to go with selection now after making changes. Guess Moeen back in. Carse to replace Topley if he has indeed broken a finger as no point risking Archer with the tournament going the way it has.

Be interested to see what would happen if they just charged a tenner to get in and you had to pay food and drink yourself.

How much did it cost to get in to the old Holte Suite before?

It was free. I would usually arrive 60-90 mins before kick off and often get food as well as 2-4 drinks depending on time of arrival. Then another drink at half time. So that’s £25-35 a match they’re not getting any more. The tables were usually full when I got there so presumably most arrived when it opened 3 hours before KO. I Imagine they’re not gonna make that much more out of the ST bolt on than they were - they want the one off tourist money.

Really? This is the club trying to compete against the sky 6. I can agree not liking it but wishing it to fall flat on it's face?

    Odd.

Did it need to be in the Holte End and replacing a season ticket benefit that we’d already paid for? Many ways to compete off the field, I’m not having that alienating fans like this is one of them.

Not sure some of the fanbase are ready for growth.

Ahh the old better fan argument, nice one.

I don't actually know the answer for Chelsea, but Man City's equivalent ticket (around £1.5k for a match) includes the 3 course meal, post match cheese board, fancy seat, pre match pitch side spot to watch the warm up, etc. - and then they have a huge glass wall along side the tunnel, indoors and downstairs from the hospitality spot, where you can stand and watch the players come and go before the match, at half time, and at full time too. Before the match though, they kind of just get to stand in a little area after the players get off the coach and kind of...clap...as they all walk past.

For balance, I’m going to the equivalent at Stenhousemuir (long story!) next year and it’s £75 for match ticket (premium seat), 3 course meal, open bar 1 hr 45 mins before game and 30 mins after, half time tea coffee biscuits and a post match pie.

The lack of attention to detail even affects the TV screens, which wished us a “save” journey home after the game on Saturday!

Lower Holte screens - yellow ticker of ‘latest news’ at the Hibs game was about a Hundred cricket game that had taken place ten days previously
