  1. Something that has been frustrating me for past several games is the idea that gabby is an out and out striker who can play off Benteke. Paul Lambert is either being extremely stubborn thinking it will pay off at some point or is just deluded. When gabby plays this role he literally stands on Benteke shoulder for the whole game and doesn't offer any other options for the midfield. I think last season proved Weimann plays off Benteke a lot better than gabby so i'd give him a free role in around the Norwich back 4 Personally at home i believe we have been crying out for gabby's pace to be utilised down the wing. We are such a narrow attacking team at home when we have one of the widest pitches in the league. The West Ham for me showed how easy it was for teams to defend against us at home as the only trouble they had was when Albrighton came on and made multiple runs down the wing and several crosses into the box. I'd like to Lambert drop this idea of playing 4-3-3 on sunday and go back to a 4-4-2 and use the wings.Team for me with everyone on form: Guzan Lowton Vlaar Clark Bertrand Albrighton Westwood Delph Gabby Benteke Weimann
  2. looks like a Bacuna matata song will be on it's way soon if these rumours flying around twitter this evening are true!!!
  3. I know this is bit of a long shot but is there anyone looking to sell a couple of tickets for the game? I was away at the time and do didn't manage to get hold of one before they sold out.
  4. Last time i went down was by train but they've almost doubled in price so this time i will be driving down. There is a multi-story car park next to the train station where i am planning to park up. There is a reasonably big pub next to the train station which is majority if not all away fans. Then there are shuttle buses running to and from the ground next to that boozer.
  5. It is a sad state of affairs at villa park at the moment i know that myself and 5 members of my family who all attend the games with me will not be renewing our season tickets next season. I agree with peoples comments previously that going to the games has at times felt more like a chore than anything else, the first time i really noticed this was the everton game at home. Walking towards the ground from aston station there was an earely silence the whole way and looking around me people didnt really look as though they wanted to be there at all. From then it has been pretty much the same story each home game. However the last couple of games i have been motivated and optimistic about going to watch our youngsters play because they are more passionate to play than half of our senior players have been all season, the chelsea game summed this up even though we lost 4-2 to start the second half the way they did and get the equaliser made the result alot less painful. Hopefully they can get a result this weekend as i would hate more than anything to see O'Neill walk away with 3 points. I am more than confident we can stay up this season but unless Lerner changes sorts the situation out unfortunatly i will not renew. UTV!!!
  6. This statement is pathetic if anything we should should do the complete opposite and get behind the team even more now. yes mcleish is useless and needs to go but we are now in the thick of it and the squad needs encouragement from fans to be passionate in the game. Our next two home game are crucial and most are targeting the Bolton game as the key but Sunderland on saturday is every bit as important as they are on a bit of a blip at the moment due to the classic O'Neill shit tactics of no team rotation. We cannot let the man who put us into this situation in the first place walk away with 3 points and big smug smile on his face. I will be getting 100% behind the team on saturday and hope everyone else attending the game will also do.
  7. Not getting my hopes up but if anyone has a spare ticket please PM.
