  1. Green is beyond poo. I'll take it you were joking Fran. Ireland have no creativity in the center and I can't stress no highly enough so having stevie back would at least give us the option to try and play football.
  2. It's all up to Houllier Fran, not overly keen on him but the decision has to be his otherwise it could end up a mess.
  3. I was not keen on Houllier at the start and still not overly confident but of course he'll be supported when he comes in I just hope he has been doing his homework and has already seen most of last seasons games so he can hit the ground running.
  4. Sven is by far the best option we have imo going by the requirements that we were told would have to be met. I think he would be really eager for this role and would love another bite at the premiership. By the way Folski when city got hammered in that game Sven had already been told that he was out the door.
  5. Ireland will be 1 of our top 3 players come the end of the season I think he has already shown his awareness of the game is better than anyone else in the squad and all this having not played in ages and now been played in a far deeper role. He has already settled in better than DJ and for 2/3 the price.
  6. Not a Physio but surprised he is out jogging already, he must be improving quickly as I'g have taught it would be all swimming and oxygen chambers at this stage.
  7. I don't know Maradona he could be an instant sucess playing in the centre and lead them to the Prem crown. All I'm saying is the pros and cons have to be weighed up and at his age after only 7 months at the top of his game it is a risk moving to city and they have enough CM for about 2 teams already so it's just an educated guess. He would surely have his pick of Clubs next season with a year left on his contract and regardless of all the talk City have proved nothing yet, a few losses on the trot could see anything happen with them.
  8. How do you know they will be competing for the league and that Jimmy will play 40-50 games, that is speculation at it's best. Jimmy has 2 years left on his contract so if he stays 1 more season than his transfer fee will not be as large and that will bring more sucessful clubs like United and Arsenal into the equation so yes for the sake of his career I think he would be better off continuing to grow at the Villa playing in his preferred position and getting a move which would guarantee him as a CM than going to probably play on the wing at city.
  9. I understand all the points being put forward but would tend to side with rob on this one, Milner has had 7 great months of football which was fantastic but at 24 years old surely his career should be more important at this stage than money. I can understand Barry moving on more as he was getting close to 30 and wanted a big pay packet and regardless what happens at city the reprecusions will not matter, Jimmy however only has had 7 months of top quality football and I'm not convinced moving to a volatile ship like city is the correct move for him at 24 years old. What if City change their manager again and he is frozen out and takes a step back in his career. If Milner were to stay at Villa he would have a midfield rvolve around him and will be worth his big pay packet next year when he is a more complete midfielder. As it stands if Chelsea, United or Arsenal came in for him I would understand the move but to move to city now does not make sense just for the money.
  10. Maybe I'm not explaining myself properly, yes I said practically done but I don't have a clue as with most on here I'm just speculating. If it's going to be done which I'm sure MON and James Milner do know then we should pick up our targets before he signs on the dotted line. As you stated daft MON will not pay over the odds for anyone but this in turn might mean we will not get who we want as all clubs will quote over the odds kn owing we have the Milner money in the bank, I'm not trying to be negative at all I'm trying to be super positive and hope we can get the best repacements possible for the right money.
  11. I stated if it's a done deal therefor city will not be pulling out, we have already released 3 from the wage bill anyway. Only time will tell but if Milner goes and we end up paying something silly for the likes of Parker then my point will have been proved.
  12. Probably the same reason you don't buy your new car even though your mate has said he'll have your old one but not given you the money for it yet. New cars cost the same regardless, the car dealer will not know how much you got from your mate and try and hike up the price will he?
  13. If all this gosip is true and Milner won't entertain a new contract at Villa and the deal with city is practically done then surely MON should buy his repacements before this deal goes through. Why wait until we have the 25M+ and then get held to randsom by other clubs.
  14. Sorry MM your post makes no sense to me, if Villa get say Ireland in the Milner deal then who cares what City want to value him at in the deal if Villa have the same net cash at the end of it. What you say sounds alot like my dad is bigger than your dad stuff from the school yard. Surely if MON wants a City player then it makes sense to have it as part of the deal as it ensures we get the player. We all know the fee is about 25-30M so if Ireland is in the deal and we get 15M then it doesn't take a genius to know what City value Ireland at, if they say they value Ireland at 20M then they just spent 35M on Milner. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your explaination.
  15. Is Delph not out until close to christmas?
