  1. Massively overrated to go with having a massively oversized arse.
  2. If I was looking for explantions I would maybe think that there was a problem getting the Togo squad's luggage following the attack? Still doesn't explain why he was carrying an Arsenal shirt with him. Maybe it's comfy.
  3. Might be wishful thinking following this injury. what injury??? Sounded like Fonz had to go off following an injury. Apologies if it's not as bad as that. Phew - cheers Amazing how flustered you can get following text commentary! Incidentally 2-0, ace!!!

  5. Sound familiar? Pretty much the exact words the WM commentary used when we played them at Ewood.
  6. When you get deja vu, it's not a glitch in the program. It's James Milner having a quick blink.
  7. I voted. But I didn't feel good about it.
  8. On the contrary, there was a time in the late nineties where I loved Lee Hendrie. I remember a performance on a pig of a pitch against Lombardo's Crystal Palace where he ran the show. But I know people might not agree but I like my Villa without the obvious superstars - they just don't seem to fit when their personality is too big. Notable exception: Paul Merson
  9. Milner for me. Exactly the type of player I wanted to see at Villa all throughout the Noughties - hard-working, fast, skilful, loyal, not a posing, preening dickhead and chips in with goals. If he avoids injury he'll play at least two group games at the World Cup, if not all of them. Then who knows.
  10. Was watching that final score before the 3pm kick-offs and Crooks tipped Man City, Chelsea and Spurs for stonewall, put your house on them wins. Yet he probably earns a large amount of money for being one of the best pundits the BBC could find. it also probably took him 2 and half hours worth of bullshit mumblings that got edited to throw out those 3 teams Thing is, that's the set of results we probably would have gone for, but we're biased fans who care about one team. Crooks watches hours of football for a living yet still hasn't got a clue.

  12. You can repeat that last bit again, Mr United fan.
  13. The only reputations these guys should care about is their own and they've no worries on that score.
  14. This is for all the three-goal comebacks.... This is for all the dodgy penalties... This is for all the added time... This is for all the crap refs... This is for all the third round ties... This is for 92/93... This is for the whole country...but most of all... THIS IS FOR ASTON VILLA Words cannot express how happy I am right now. Enjoy tonight, my fellow Villains. We bloody deserve it.
  15. I'm not crying that we probably won't see Beye for a while.
  16. I've had enough of strikers at Villa who just cannot be arsed. I'm not getting on the backs of the two players mentioned but why can't we sign a striker that works hard and can put the ball in the back of the net? You might say that you have to pay massive transfer fees for players like that but I'm sure Dzeko and Grafite of Wolfsburg didn't cost that much, and they scored a shedload last season. We're richer than at any other time in the club's history and yet we can't put in the effort needed to unearth and pay a reasonable price for a player we need. Sorry, I've been looking over a lot of old Villa vids - made me pine for McInally, Regis, Yorke, Deano and Dalian!
  17. I'm as disappointed as the next bloke about tonight, but I would refer you to the fact that last season, we lost away to Newcastle and then at home to Boro, both teams we 'should' have beaten, while playing some pretty below-par football, and then we won 2-0 at the Emirates and didn't lose again until Chelsea beat us the following February. I'm not suggesting that we'll do that again, but I'm just pointing out that no matter how bad you think we might be playing, it might just take one result to lift the whole season and really put some distance between us and the new pretenders. If we, the team and the management learn from tonight then we might have nothing to complain about in a couple of months time.
