Carrick couldn't work out how fast the playing surface was when he was attempting these "amazing" long balls that he is so renouned for, they just ran out of play every time.

After the first couple of attempts you would at least find the range, but I can't remember one long ball that he put onto the foot of one of his fellow players...

He was on Jools Holland the other night, sang his new single "Skinny Love" which is a brilliant number, even more so the fact that The Raconteurs performed after him and just before they started I swear you could see Jack White have a look of "Shit, I wish I wrote that..." smeared all over his face.

Now, The Raconteurs do have some good songs, but being inept of getting past power chords in a standard tuning of distorted guitar riffs wares thin after a while.

They were shown up by some hairy bloke who could actually sing last Friday night, it was wonderful...

What about Steklenburg (sp) for a new keeper? Surely must fancy some more competative football week in week out in a stronger league?
