  1. Is he going with Feeney do you know?
  2. He plays against men everyday in training, whilst also learning the demands and rigours of being a premier league player in a premier league system. I really don’t mind if he goes out on loan, but it’s not the be all and end all.
  3. The lad has good acceleration and pace (for a midfielder) by the looks of things, something that Hourihane couldn’t really offer at prem level and get away with.
  4. Agreed, he’s played a lot with another striker next to him when at Brugge. Wouldn’t mind seeing it against teams who play 5/3 at the back this season.
  5. I thought Jacob Ramsey looked like he was at the level required against league one opposition last night. He plays a diagonal pass very well, and physically up to it compared to the others (which is to be expected).
  6. Biggest sign of improvement for me was the near post run for his goal. Getting into the position to score, that's what he needs to work on more. Hopefully the goal will give him that confidence boost he needs. Like others, I really want to see him succeed, it would be a great story to go from getting released from Stevenage to scoring in the Prem.
  7. Personally I think 16 is far too young as a general rule to loan players out, and Jack had just turned 18 when he went on loan to Notts County, not 16..
  8. If he’s flying commercial, then the plane gets in at 13:10 at Heathrow.
  9. It might be if we’re playing one up top all season? Though personally I’d go for another.
  10. I don’t understand your logic, why hold back until January to signing more players when they are available now and will get five more months to intergrate into the playing system and squad? And who would have you re-signed from the players released, out of interest?
  11. One thing he’s got that you cannot teach is natural quickness and burst, but even at 20 he still looks raw in a fair few areas. Think a loan would be very beneficial for him, just hope his body can take the rigours of a 46 game season somewhere in the championship/league one.
  12. He has a much better ball striking technique than Tammy, but his heading prowess still needs improvement - Which is fine, as he’s 22 and got time on his side to improve. really, really impressed with him so far though, looks a great asset to the team.
  13. How reputable is Di Marzio, anyone know?
  14. Odd as I think he just failed a medical somewhere I think?
  15. Agree, especially if they have a fullback behind them that can be involved with the attacking side of the game too, gives them another option to work with, or, use their skill as they'll have more space with the fullback occupying the other fullback/winger.
  16. Yes, we will be, and it will be within a certain timeframe as buyback options normally have an expiry date. So, with this remit I'm guessing with this new planning and structure we have in place at the club I wouldn't be surprised if they'll be prepared for that eventuality. Either with a backup stepping up because they have developed to the satisfaction of Smith to be a first team starter (Like Poch does at Spurs very well) or they'll get someone else in. Anyway the short term goal is to stay in this league, we are a year ahead of schedule and we're having the most intriguing window in years. I'm going to enjoy the reality first and foremost, the hypertheticals can be addressed and scrutinised later. UTV.
  17. Sounds like an agent trying to gain leverage in contract negotiations to me.
  18. Just out of interest, do we have one at the moment?
  19. The buy back is not really an issue for me, we wouldn’t get a player of this (apparent) calibre into the club otherwise, and if he is a success and we stay up because his performances helped that, we’ll profit on another year of premier league money and have a great indication of what kind of player we need going forward to fill that position. And getting paid a nominal at the same time for it.
  20. Stuck £5 on a double on SHA and Newcastle to be relegated at 26/1 just after Monk got sacked. Should be a nice little payday come May.
  21. I’d take Tuanzebe back for a year, gives us the option to spend in other areas this window and then some of these prices for inflated cbs will drop next year, or Utd might want to cash in on the man himself. Keeping that spine and continuity from last year will be very beneficial I think.
  22. It’s for a percentage of Leeds, not a full takeover isn’t it?
  23. Work permit is done on a points system I think, with transfer fee and wages being in the top 25 or 30 percentile of the league the previous season. Also, you gain points if your current club (Brugge) played in the Europa or Champions league last season, which they did. Doesnt play for Brazil so no points added on that front, but should get the allotted 5 points needed to pass
