Really hope this one happens. Sure he’s passionate. However, he is the perfect age, in great form, knows the League and has successfully worked with our manager previously. He plays in a position which we are still lacking in quality, especially given the injury to McGinn. He could be the perfect signing?

Pulisic on loan with an option to buy would be brilliant business IMO. Ziyech would be a class signing also. Although a new striker is desperately needed, I can’t imagine we’d be able to get anyone of significant quality during this window.

Should have offered him a new contract 12 months ago! He’s our best midfielder and should be starting every game FFS. Letting him go is utter madness, absolutely disgusted with the club right now.

Still need a quality midfielder and CB regardless of Gerrard. This window has been really disappointing, we are nowhere near good enough for a top ten finish let alone Europe.

Think this is a brilliant signing, the guy has talent and pace to burn. Don't see this as a ‘panic’ buy either, IMO we need more attacking options having already sold Carney and Trez, and with Anwar and Bertie looking increasingly likely to leave. He can also play quite comfortably through the middle, so would be a useful alternative to Bailey or Watkins. Deals often take weeks of negotiating and I suspected this signing will be in addition to both a new CB and No8 coming in.

Honestly, I’d be disappointed if Dougie left. He is a much better player than some would have you believe, especially when played in his more natural position. Real shame IMO.

Agreed. He was played in defensive midfield (not his natural position) because of necessity and unfairly criticised. He’s a much, much better player when utilised in a more advanced position. Was hoping he would sign a new contract, however that’s looking increasingly unlikely.

I rate Rashford. OK he had an awful season at Utd but then so did the majority of their squad and I would absolutely love to see him fully fit, focused and scoring goals for fun in a Villa shirt. Unfortunately I can’t see this one happening.
