Plug that into my veins. People talk about winners and a winning mentality but then there is this guy which is just a separate level again.

Got a feeling he will get a start on Thursday as we’ll need to give first team as much rest as possible. Hopefully he’s closer to the Newcastle performance than the Stevenage or any of the more recent games.

Does anyone else think it’s a pen when he had his big chance in the second half. He beats Dias who puts his arm straight across his chest and clearly stops him getting a shot off cleanly. Looked incredibly blatant to me but not seen a single person mention it during or after the game.

Agreed it’s an odd decision by ref by also odd way pundits make out it was a nailed on goal. Most likely scenario is he cuts back and recycles the ball to Cancelo. -
I think that’s fair. It’s all your own viewpoint. For me he did everything you said but also really nearly scored for about 6/7 games running which “felt” promising. Not sure if that was a false dawn or not. Seen plenty of players like Bailey and even Watkins in last years who flit between world beaters and not knowing how to kick a football so tough to judge a player too early.

Agreed left wing isnt his position but by all account no 10 is. Got McGinn and Bailey ahead of him for RW so needs to do more than today in 10 role to earn a place.

I’m in the same camp that felt like he looked very promising initially and more disappointing more recently. Thought he was poor today but to be fair McGinn and Duran didn’t do any better second half. We weren’t great as a team, tough one for the forward players.

There are a few things about Tesla unrelated to the cyber truck that have reminded me of that episode. I own one, some things about it are brilliant and feel very futuristic some incredibly bad and feel very backward. It’s an odd car. TBF one I own is a bit old, my old man has a brand new one and all the crap stuff seems to be gone.

I lean towards a trophy because I hate most of the CL teams and never watch it but it would be huge for the club to achieve that I do realise. Also agree that Martinez and Luiz will be off in next few years if we can’t get there.

This got me thinking because I actually missed the Leicester game aswell. Its the Liverpool match for me coming up to a year ago.

Agreed he’s got all the ability and tools you’d want. There is a question on the mentality to be a top level player but he’s 19 so that’s to be expected. Question is if Watkins get injured can Duran do a job for 10/15 games. I’m not sure on that at all.

Yeah - clearly the game plan was to go all or nothing in the first half and try to control the game from there. To be honest we were lucky to go in at half time even and after that the game plan worked in our favour. Was a very good game of football. For the neutral at least. It was one of those games which had me teetering on the edge of a panic attack.

To be honest I hate to see a player getting injured but everyone knew he was going to get a “firm” challenge in the opening exchanges. I hope he’s alright though.

I realise VAR plays quite a big part in our defensive strategy but I’d be much happier scraping VAR for offside altogether. People called for it for years in order to help stop the howlers not to enforce the rules of the game to millimetre accuracy.

We’ll see. Unai was pretty explicit about our approach to selling these young players. Get some money, get them game time and retain control. I know what the Hull chairman said but I’d be happier to believe Unai than this guy at this point.

Brought up in West Midlands and now live in Bournemouth. Get to most home games. Drive seems to be getting longer every time I do it.

Feel bad for him tbh, very gifted player but struggling to remember the last time he went a season without a lengthy injury.
