  1. Cant get to the game as its a school night, does anybody know if anywhere in Brum will be showing it? I know that Sky have obviously got Man Utd v Spurs on, so I'm thinking anywhere with Norwegian/Iraqi tv obviously......
  2. Its not the wisest move is it? Saying we've got 'X' to spend. Just inflates transfer fees. He also said 'We are competitors to Aston Villa'! Chung Ying Garden says it all hinges on staying in the PL. Be interesting to see what happens if those muppets are adrift in the bottom 3 come Jan 1st. Its likely, so why on earth is a who's who od World Football gonna trapse bear foot to Small Heath?? One Bluenose idiot said on the Bham Mail site I quote: 'Hows about John Carew for starters?' Dear oh dear oh dear. Ideas above your station Girlies??!! 8) Also puts it into perspective, that if necessary, Man City can spend £40m on ONe player in January if they so wish to.
  3. Yeah Wetherspoons (the alcoholics choice!) are open from around 8 for breakfast, and serving booze from 9am on a Saturday. I worked in Wolves for a few years, and know it quite well. There's not a huge amount of boozers in the City Centre, and those that will be open such as Moon under water, Goose in the City, Royal London are Wolves full stop. Best bet is The Briar Rose, for a Pint and fry up, then jump the train or Metro to Wolves. Avoid the subway en route to the ground!
  4. Obviously I want another 5-1 rout, however, not a chance. As many have said derby games can be levellers, and I cant see many goals...but I do fail to see where the Alliance's goal threat is coming from?? Should we be worried about this Choo Choo fella? (Although he's yet to play in a Villa shirt, Im slightly worried that Dunne has a clumsy streak to his game.) Having said all that, hard to see them scoring. 1-0 to us, maybe 2-0 if our front boys click. COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!
  5. No. He should start every game when fit. Completly disagree, his lack of mobility, means away from home, we'd struggle to more. Alot of our good counter attacking play comes through Agbonlahor running either channels and then laying the ball back into midfield and attacking from areas deep in the opposition half. Also we went 10 unbeaten with Gabby upfront on his own last year and already 2 wins in two when he's upfront on his own in the league this season, why the hell would we change that? Agreed. I'd use Carew as an impact player for the last 20-25 minutes, if we're chasing the game.
  6. There'll be no pubs open in town. Be a case of 'batten down the hatches' I imagine. Personally, I'll be in the Holte Suite. £10 in, bar open, and brunch thrown in! Also less chance of any sort of infection/disease. :winkold: In all seriousness, as much as I love the Villa, I just cant justify giving those Small Heath Shysters £50 I can ill afford....
