  1. I actually lol’d at the FTSE going up on the retail data today. The proper crash is going to be epic.
  2. Normally yes, but these last couple of days have been different. I watched it for about 4 hours yesterday and every time BTC made a move up/down the indexes followed. It’s weird, but it was happening and it followed into today. Probably nothing or just me looking at charts for too long. On another note, I can’t see anything other than a big, weekend rug pull coming after the jumps today. Same with the indexes, looks like a trap/bear market rally.
  3. Some big, green moves for some of the alt coins today. Still too risky for me, all smells a bit fishy. I don’t know WTF is going on with BTC, but it appears to be leading the main indexes. If you watch the movement, you can see the correlation between BTC vs Nasdaq, SPX and UK100. As BTC moves up/down, the indexes seem to react and follow.
  4. Still not convinced. CPI data released in US tomorrow, if inflation is showing no sign of slowing, market will take another drop and drag crypto with it. I’ve been dipping in and out with leveraged shorts against the market indexes for the past couple of days and it’s worked well so far, I’m just gonna carry on with that for now I’d love to think it will decouple from the markets, just can’t see it at the moment.
  5. I’m not falling for the slight recovery this morning. Feels like a trap/bear market rally.
  6. There could be a long way to go still. Now it’s tied so closely to the market, I can’t see a bottom at the moment. I opened short positions on the S&P, Nasdaq and UK100 today. I’m convinced we’ve got another 25-50% downside from here. S**t gonna get real.
  7. I’d love to, just don’t have the £££. I’m in a very specific play and I’ve just got to wait it out. I regret not opening some short positions at the end of last year/beginning of this. The writing was on the wall. At some point I plan to buy as much Disney as I can afford. The house of mouse is a money printer. Too much focus on streaming and it’s caught up in politics at the moment, but the rebound will be epic.
  8. TRX is really trying to break out, but the timing is awful.
  9. Blood on the streets in the US markets again. Buckle up.
  10. I don’t think it’s finished falling yet. Next quarterly report likely to show another drop in subscriptions. The ad supported plan could provide a bounce, but don’t know how far away they are from launching that. From a personal perspective, I definitely think they’ve lost their content edge recently. I’ve been watching far more on Disney, Prime and Apple. If I had to drop one right now, it would probably be Netflix. Disney will have an edge going forward imo, because of the Marvel/Star Wars content. Amazon have the upcoming LOTR series, HBO have House of Dragon. Other than Stranger Things, I can’t see any major titles giving Netflix a boost?
  11. I hope you’re right, but I can’t see a ‘soft landing’. Inflation hasn’t peaked yet and I’m not convinced the numbers we are being fed are correct as it is. Stagflation is a very real threat. Further pain coming down the road on energy and food prices. Supply chains will remain under massive pressure with the labour shortage and ongoing covid situation in China. I work in the automotive industry and there is no sign of improvement, if anything it’s getting worse. Interest rate increases won’t stop it, but they will add to the squeeze on disposable income for anyone on a variable rate or coming to the end of their fixed deal mortgage. Still a lot of room on the downside for stocks. The rest I’ll leave it for now as some of it is a bit tin-foil, but I’m pretty convinced there’s some serious s**t coming for the markets. I think there are issues in the housing markets already, we just aren’t seeing it yet. I’ve also seen some credible stuff on commercial mortgages in the US and it all smells very much like 2008.
  12. Pacino on fire. Do you like Huey Lewis And The News? *NSFW*
  13. So, how big is the crash going to be? I mean the proper multi-car, pile-up crash, not the minor bump we’ve seen in the US YTD. I’m calling a proper, 2008 style wipeout, before Sept.
  14. I may have been premature with my bull market call! The only saving graces for me are at the moment are TRX and Loopring. TRX has held up with the launch of the stable coin and Loopring will pop, once the GameStop marketplace launches and the FOMO starts. I fear for the rest in the short term. The markets are f***ed and I think there’s still a long way down from here as the economic situation worsens. This, imo, is the problem with crypto becoming ‘mainstream’. People were cheering institutional investment into BTC and all the talk of ETF’s etc, but now it’s tied to the main markets and they are pulling it down, with everything else. The argument for using crypto as an inflation hedge has been well and truly blown out of the water, the only hope in the short term is short sellers get greedy, it get’s oversold and triggers a squeeze - otherwise I think they will go lower and remain low until at least mid ‘23. The Ripple (XRP) Vs SEC case, could provide a catalyst if the SEC reach out for a settlement, but as things stand, the case won’t be resolved until ‘early ‘23’.
  15. The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey was absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite shows in the last 12 months. Samuel L Jackson & Dominique Fishback deserve all the awards. Fishback is going to be a star.
  16. It was a solid 7/10. The three leads were excellent and it was entertaining enough.
  17. Boiling Point on Netflix is decent. Stephen Graham is his usual, brilliant self & the ‘one shot’ format is really interesting.
  18. There’s a bull run coming. Sauce: Trust me bro.
  19. It was released in January. After it got cancelled there was a big fan campaign and they ended up making a movie to finish it off, instead of what should have been season 8 https://www.sho.com/titles/3508117/ray-donovan-the-movie
  20. @rjw63 Have you watched the Ray Donovan movie yet? I pay for every TV service going and you can’t get it anywhere (legally) over here, you can’t even pay to rent it FFS.
  21. The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey is fantastic. Samuel L Jackson is absolutely brilliant.
  22. Having stretched it out for ages, ‘cos I didn’t want it to end, I watched the final episode of Parks & Recreation last night
  23. I started a week ago and I’ve only got a couple of episodes left of S2. It’s brilliant.
  24. Nothing of note, there are some scenes in the operating theatre, but brief and relatively few and far between. as @Wainy316 said, you might wince a bit when on the odd occasion, but it’s far from gory.
