  1. With Heskey not available haven't Young, Albrighton and Downing have been our top scorers and creators so they have to play. How people are leaving Albrighton outis beyond me (unless he's suspended?). City are very strong so we can't leave our defnece exposed. Therefore if Makoun won't be registered on time it has to be: Friedel Walker Collins Dunne Clark NRC Petrov Albrighton Downing Young Bent we are at home after all. UTV!
  2. I agree Risso - it is shambolic that we don't kno wwhen he'll start. But I've been thinking (and maybe this has already been said further back) but this is not a "standard" appointment. If Hoillier was coming from another club they'd want him out immediately so he has little time to tap up players and coaching staff, and so they can get the next guy in ASAP. But in this case he's not coming from a club and so maybe the FFF don't need to shove him out so quick, maybe he's contractually obligated to work some kind of notice, and they are enforcing that on him. Maybe this isn't all Hoillier's choice and breaking his contract with immediate effect could leave him open to compensation claims? By him dancing to their tune he can ger out in a matter of days/ weeks rather than the 3 months that he obviously has in the contract - didn't he say that himself? Having said all that - this could all be him pandering to their requests to keep in with the FFF. Randy could propably help with a comensation claim if needed
  3. Hey Brian, I can totally and utterly relate to your article and your thoughts on how you would catagorise Irish fans of other English clubs. So so true.
  4. Therefore continuing that line of thought - we need to win our next 2 home games (Fulham and Bolton) and at least draw the next 2 away (Everton and WestHam) in order to maintain this progress. Interesting.
  5. Have to agree John - Had a good chuckle at "The physio duly did the leg bends and extensions to pump the little chaps down from their new location just behind his ears".
  6. Being an occasional traveller from Dublin to London, I never know what paper to buy there so I'll be interested in the result of this poll. If it's good enough for the VT posters then it's good enough for me!
  7. I'm with BOF on this one. Definitely Cah-hill.
  8. Had this argument with a few friends and family recently and I was shocked to find that concensus was farily split 50/50. These guys were in their prime a bit before my time but I've seen a lot of their movies and to me it's McQueen no doubt about it. What do my fellow villans think?
