  1. Too many extra changes with Kamara out, meaning backline lacked protection and comfortable patterns of play, leading to yet another sloppy concession and the inability to build fluidly going forward. We do have to rotate but it hasn't really worked yet. I'd like to see a full replay of the disallowed goal. Digne knocks it down from inside the defender and from the reverse angle didn't look off. One of the worst reffing performances we've had in ages. They inarguably should've been down to 10, arguably down to 9 in the first, then were permitted to incessantly foul Watkins, Bailey, etc.
  2. We were clearly looking for one in Summer with all the links to Ugarte, Adams, etc. If we find a move for Donk, I think we'll be back in for one.
  3. We want to be envoy of the leading online sports betting agency registered in Curaçao and Malta.
  4. Two yellows in the middle and Dougie hoping to avoid one hasn't helped, nor has the ref failing to book them for the same or worse.
  5. Offside Trap needs his own thread, man of the match performance.
  6. Amusingly, I went to a Palace forum to see how mad/depressed they were and they all thought he was terrible and the main reason they lost (aside from refball) due to him losing the ball a lot. Eerily familiar.
  7. Ollie and Cash should've had two each, have to sharpen up the finishing. Just a bit too lax.
  8. Covers wide and 10, would make a lot of sense with Emi injured and Phil + Phil(ogene) out the door.
  9. I don't think we'd sell him in Jan as too many games to play and no true alternative in the squad, but if he still hasn't signed a contract by then, I wouldn't be surprised were we to sell him in the Summer. Club won't want to let him walk to a rival for nothing.
  10. Surprised he didn't put it through the hoop made by the keeper and the defender's leg there just for laughs. Start him every game.
  11. I saw "Douglas Luiz broke" and almost stopped reading.
  12. Clearly a dive. Lets his legs go when he feels the slightest contact. Where's VAR?
  13. Tbf, this strategy looks pretty viable at the moment.
  14. Last year offseason he said something in an interview about having to manage his game time due to his knee as he did his ACL a few years back, he may not be physically able to play as many games as we need.
  15. Just does not look happy playing out of pressure.
  16. Assuming we can only go for one (and neither go to Saudi and/or Barca somehow), Laporte for another left-footer or Foyth for the right with Carlos moving left if needed? Laporte's the better player on the whole but the ability to cover right back and knowing Emery's system already may be of real value.
  17. Poor performance and Mings injury a disaster, but what is the point of playing an offside trap with calls like that? If that's the new standard, we might as well bring back the kick through and Sheffield Rules.
  18. Didn't someone start a similar rumour just before last season that turned out to be nonsense? Maybe about Ollie?
  19. Adams is much more mobile and much more proactive than Dendoncker, more akin to Boubs in that regard, which might be a consideration. His passing is fine, it's safe DM passing as a rule, but better than practically anyone else in that Leeds side (and who knows what Emery would do with him) and he's very, very good at winning it back when lost. Another consideration is that Dendoncker may well be pushing to leave. He would start for a lot of decent sides and is well into his prime years, so not improbable he wants a move. Do we know if he's with the squad in Spain yet?
  20. Don't hate the idea of Dest tbqh, especially if he ends up being a free. Not yet 23, can cover both flanks from front to back, very quick, VERY good at playing out of pressure, actually reasonably good at winning the ball back higher up the pitch and keeping possession going in the opposition half as you'd expect from an Ajax/Barca player. Major downside is his tendency to pick up lots of little muscle strains that keep him out a few games at a time which has kept him from finding consistency at club level. As an option to switch our highly attacking fullback to the right side or to go all out if we're trying to break a side down, he might prove useful. The better we are at keeping the ball, the less we actually need to defend, as well, and he's a big upgrade on Cash/Konsa at RB in terms of playing out (unless Ez is beginning his Yaya Toure arc with that run!). The type of player Emery is famous for revitalizing, too.
  21. Can we just, uh, gloss over a few of those?
  22. Given we've had links (however tenuous) with Adams, Koopmeiners and now Amrabat, sounds like we're sounding out a specialist DM to replace The Donck™.
