  1. 26 *3 = 78, plus 11 x 1 = 47 games, 89 points, and in your opinion unlikely to be bettered. (I agree) Last season, for comparison, from one fewer game Wolves went up with 99, Cardiff with 90. Fulham third with 88.
  2. No. Let him who is without sin.... We had a small number of Leeds fans come on here, sympathetic to our (then) plight. They told us about their struggles. Simple? Far from it. What was all that business we had last year, with (some of) us muttering about Wolves and signing players and how could the EFL allow it...?
  3. Another 1400 on the way Indie more will follow, as night follows day.
  4. Villans - PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC - STEVE BRUCE, not what you think of other posters style or standards. Thanks
  5. So I see. Relief all round, including the old belt, I should imagine.
  6. Well he did post it 38 hours before you commented, so it’s bound to have gone cold and congealed quite a bit. TBH I’m surprised it’s still there, I thought Bicks would have scoffed it all.
  7. Very much so. Absolute melon. He’s got Ronaldo levels of self regard and little broadcasting talent. One decent album 20 years ago.
  8. Keavney, yeah, knob. Unlistenable bell. Ditto Huey Morgan. Laverne - I don't mind her and I like MAH's programmes. Shame they've moved RadMac to the weekend, as it was fine where it was.
  9. One small tip. If you’re going to go into the outback, aka the red centre, particularly in the hotter months, get some of this. You can get it from the equestrian shop, I think it’s called “Horseland”, in Perth, as you’re there first. Obviously other places in other towns sell it too, but you can’t get it everywhere. The reason why you need to get some is it’s the only stuff that actually works in keeping the flies off you. worth every dollar.
  10. Yeah, ‘cus when I called them **** blokes **** *******s I wasn’t calling all ****s *******s, only those blokes, so I int racist, innit. but he’s done himself no favours there, he really hasn’t. He knows it, too.
  11. I don’t know why you say that, as I specifically said I feel their views (bias) have led to their conclusions, rather than their conclusions being based on open-minded examination of not just aspects that they feel they can use to support a mindset, but all the available detail. To get others to be persuaded of their hypothesis they would need to address aspects which don’t fit supportively with their outlook. i have bias, you have bias, everyone does. So it’s critically important to set that aside, or give the opportunity to counter positions to arrive at as close as possible to a justifiably supportable conclusion. They fail, massively to do that. It. Is transparently one eyed. It doesn’t mean they couldn’t be broadly right, but they fail to rigorously demonstrate proper even handed analysis. what they seem to have done and have a history of is start from a perspective of (as their name suggests) extreme scepticism (to be kind) of western media and motives, without equally using the same level os scepticism towards Assad and Russia’s motives and state media and propaganda. It’s the assertion of balanced, reason that I take issue with, not the conclusion per se. They’ve got where they’ve got, not through wisdom and analysis of all available information, but through cherry picking. I’d love to read something genuinely rigorous in analysis of all sides whatever conclusion it reached, but that effort is nowhere near that, thus were no better informed than if they hadn’t bothered with their blog.
  12. That's fair - "we want to develop young players, have them have resale value when the time comes, recruit players with real ability and promise, rather than expensive ready made options, we want top quality coaching and winning entertaining football that excites the fans (and us) and in return we'll provide resources, support....etc." is kind of what you'd expect (as an example). "we want you to play 4-3-3, with a gung-ho approach and two touch football" is not. I guess that's where the line lies.
  13. I like the linked (from your Leave campaign link quote)
  14. Well that's one way of looking at it, for sure. Another would be that while an opposition group alleged Sarin, the US said, er... And that very same blog said So the notion that it was all about alleged nerve gas attacks doesn't stand up. But that's kind of irrelevant. And yes, some of the points made by the "friends of Russia group", or whatever their official title (Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media) is, have some merit. A lot seem completely unrelated. But fog...."The OPCW is incompetent, we allege the OPCW did something wrong back in 2015, the OPCW is biased, slur the white helmets", and omit anything that doesn't support their preconceived argument. Job done. That article is not a balanced one, looking at the various possibilities, it is one cherry picking things that the author hope will support a predetermined theory. Which is fine, but it's not independent nor balanced, nor from a non-partisan source, nor from experts in the field. It's possible the preconceived notions about the Western media and deep state and all the rest and their theories of the attack and their Russian media appearances will all be proven to be spot on, but I have my doubts.
  15. It's confusing isn't it. Both the USA and Russia seemingly are aware of an imminent CW attack in Syria. Russia is putting out that Rebels are gonna do it, and the US that Assad is going to do it. Who to believe, if anyone? Do we Trust Trump or Putin or neither? The OPCW did an interim report on the previous attack, finding So it looks like there was an attack (rather than the initial line that there wasn't, and it was all a fake). They also found that at the sites Syria said there was rebel CW facilities, there was no evidence of this at all. So the last one - no evidence that rebels produced CWs as Syria alleged, No evidence of Nerve agent use (they check for this regardless), but chlorinated organic chemicals (*Dichloroacetic acid, trichloroacetic acid, chloral hydrate, trichlorophenol, trinitrotoluene, chloride etc.) were found (yet to be finally determined to be Chlorine gas residue, or not). Evidence of Cylinders etc., which contradicts Russian statements of "no evidence". They also said the Syrians denied them access to some places they wanted to visit and collect samples etc. https://www.opcw.org/fileadmin/OPCW/S_series/2018/en/s-1645-2018_e_.pdf Trump might want one of his "look over there" distractions, Assad might think "nothing's come of the last time I did it", Russia might think now's a good time, with the West turning more in on itself to sow some more potential for discord...who knows. Then there's all the barmpots like Vanessa Beeley and the Assad?Putin apologists to factor in. What a mess...
  16. Yer man Craig or one of his echo chamber been reading Russian Defence Ministry’s tweets again? which as others have pointed out translates as “Assad’s gonna use CWs again, shortly” The fog of war, eh?
  17. Sorry, with the Clough thing I was meaning like this: “Brian , you need to stop doing anti semitism” ”Well, young man, what we’ll do here is have a sensible discussion about the difference between antisemitism and antizionism, and the difference between criticism of the actions of Israel and being antisemitic, for the next 20 minutes and then we’ll decide I was right to praise the murderer”
  18. Terry’s right. He’s not saying what you seem to think. He’s saying that for two brand new, first time owners of a football club to come in and tell the manager “you must adopt this style of play.... and have the players do this, that, the other” would be a resigning issue for any manager and an absolute no no for an owner(s).
  19. For some reason this paragraph puts me in mind of Brian Clough. “We talk about it for 20 minutes then we decide I was right” I agree with much of that. Israel’s government and its supporters have over decades acted and lobbied etc. to smother criticism and critics of some of their horriblist acts and deeds and that has spread to encompass almost any criticism, valid or not. That’s an unhealthy situation to get into, isn’t it? Where basically all criticism is batted away as motivated by people or groups opposed to your right to even be where you are. I hope that sort of thing doesn’t take hold in our politics. speaking of our politics and your last sentence, I totally disagree with that part. Dismissing criticism because of who is making it, or even their motives is a mistake. Tories, Labour, SNP etc all have their internal factions, feuds and rivalries They all have their cynical attack dogs and all the rest. No part of any of them are pure and on a higher plain, morally, to the extent that critics can be dismissed and waived away because it came from a cynical, low moral rival. That always, always leads to corruption, entitlement, cronyism and atrophy and ultimately overthrow.
  20. She’s just this Sheila he married, I think.
  21. That tweet is an example of the consequences of lumping in made up or spurious allegations in with genuinely worrying behaviours. So now “the number of people who recognise” all criticism of him as being due to his support for Palestinians “ is growing”. Mixing false stuff with true stuff has diluted the true stuff to zero concern in a growing number of people’s minds. So much so that Corbyn’s fan club are going to stand against all criticism even more staunchly, thus forming an impenetrable shield, protecting their idol, like some deepest red queen bee from all voices other than those of anti-Eu, Irish unification, Hamas supporting, Hezbollah solidarity, Russian propagandists called Seamus, John or Diane. In this way the sweet honey of 1970s socialist nirvana will be protected and available only to the chosen riteous tribe of Corbynite worker drones. Meanwhile the country crumbles.... But BDS, yeah definitely. I agree there.
  22. Yeah, we can't change anything of consequence, but it's surprising what little changes we can bring about. Because I'm weird I do little challenge thing I set myself. Often in the canteen at work. I've had three recent successes - all involving "miserable" people serving or working the tills. The first one was "I'm gonna make that person smile" (person was always grimly mopey). After about 3 weeks of various lame quips etc. on my part I got a friendly smile and a laugh. (yeah, yeah, then I put it way again...). Next was a till person. I'm gonna get them them to chat to me (they'd barely utter the cost before that)... Similar with Sandwich making person - "what crisps do you recommend with a cheese and tomato sandwich?" just stupid stuff...so now they're recommending "salad cream on that is my favourite" or whatever. So basically I've made 3 caterers think I'm a bit of a simpleton idiot, but they're definitely cheerier now (or have perfected their acting skills - win either way).
  23. It's sad. I mean, like with many things where there are valid grounds for criticism or concern, by quite clearly, and partisanly dragging up al kinds of non-stuff it actually weakens the genuine case, while also causing supporters to think, perhaps that all criticism is made up tosh. It's just transparently stupid. I don't like the bloke at all, and think he's a wrong 'un, but you can't defend some of the ludicrous accusations made against him. Stick to the genuinely concerning stuff, there's no shortage of it.
  24. Some big boys did it and then ran off, Sir, I mean the dog ate it....I had it when I was one the bus, I must have dropped it.
  25. I posted a few days ago, maybe a week ago, that our play is far to often two three touch football and then pass it to someone marked, but to be fair on Wednesday there was much more movement and much more one or fast two-touch play and it was a big improvement. triangles and everything. It shows the players are good enough, without doubt. Maybe the same sort of criticism has been raised by the coaching staff and they've been working on it with the players?
