not at all - it was a stupid idea- based on nothing but supposition. Our ideas of the universe have refined as we have developed the scientific approach to studying it. Flath earth theories originated from the thought " well there's an horizon over there and a line where the sky and the water meet - must mean its flat". " yeah, right on, ODNT FALL OFF THE EDGE!" Hindsight is awesome isn't it? I'm sure you'd have known better than the millions and million of great minds before Pythagoras came along with the initial idea that the Earth may indeed be round.
