The filter is based on starts, with 19 - half a season worth - as the cut off point. Bannan, with 18 starts is below the filter. If they did it on appearances Bannan 24 appearances would have him included on the list. they say guthrie had 21 apperances if it was starts wouldnt it be 19 as you say?

You are making up statistics. This is the problem with the Bannan criticism. It's constructed out of thin air and innate bias against a player they don't understand. we forget they maybe young players but most of lamberts buys have had alot of experience playing for thiers previous clubs ashley westwood played 123 games for crewe, joe bennett played 85 for boro, lowton played over 100 games for shefield and ferencvarosi and benteke has played over 100 games for various clubs, so form wasnt the problem for these players getting used to new team mates and the pace of the premier league was/is.
