All the other results gone against us with Newcastle and Spurs winning. I'd love a win but would take a point.

I just hope we score first. I can take a draw as we should win our next two home games.

Man City result was pretty handy!

    Funny thing is.

I have no idea who this guy is, and instant reaction is underwhelming just due to him being at Leeds in a relegated team etc.

However, I've seen nothing but good reports about him.

Same here. Maybe he could be like a Wijnaldum type player in that he went down with Newcastle (I think) then joined Liverpool and had a lot of success.

  3. I absolutely love Watkins, however, I have to agree that lately he doesn't seem as enthusiastic and his aggresive pressing has dipped down a few gears. I can't work understand why. If we get Ollie back to playing like he did last season he is an incredible asset but right now he needs to work much harder and improve his all round attitude.

I have just purchased a membership for my other half. She wanted to go to a game with me, but I couldn't buy a ticket for her for the Watford match without her being a member which was a pain in the @rse.

Anyhow, looking at the details on her online acount the membership runs for 12 months from the date of purchase. So hers will run out this time next year, whereas mine purchased last summer will run out in July .

Thank you much appreciated. That's a bit frustrating that everyone who wants to go has to be a member! Modern day football I suppose!

  5. This is a true test of intent. The club have to get their elbows out here and say no. The money isn't really helpful, it's sets a precedent of us being a selling club and we go backwards and it costs money in other ways (lower finish, fewer merch sales, can't attract as good players).

I have much more faith in Dean Smith to spend money well than previous managers, but it's not a guarentee. We went massively backwards last time and have had nearly 10 years of turbulence after selling Milner, Young, Barry etc. How much has that actually cost the club really? When you think in these terms, a seasons worth of TV revenue in exchange for our best player and our poster boy for our amibitions makes zero sense.

It's simple for me. Keep Grealish and add more quality.

Sell him and I cannot see us improving even with the cash available.

It's a pivotal moment this! Come on owners, let's get aggressive!

  6. Agreed! Barkley has some wonderful ability with the ball but I am constantly shouting at my screen at him when we don't have the ball. Ramsey came on and was far superior! Barkely can have no complaints about being subbed and can kick the bottle of water all he wants - he needs to pull his finger out. Watkins and Grealish do incredible defending from the front. There can be no passengers! The two sitting midfielders have a far better game when everyone runs their socks off.

  7. We were really unlucky not to win or at least draw away at West Ham. Still a little bit of work to be done defensively and being more clinical but our team is evolving all the time. I think we can win this one 2-1!

Ah missed that. Shame! £25m is a bit steep for a LB for us.

I think the gems are to be found in the lesser leagues, obviously a bit more of a gamble. Netherlands, Scotland, France etc I'd hope to see a couple of recruits from there.

I do worry whether injuries have destroyed him, I guess this loan spell will help us on that one. He's player with a lot of good raw materials, good pace, quick feet, good technique and a very good shot. But a combination of injuries and shite coaching could have resulted in him not developing a good football brain, and he may have lost some physical attributes.

He's in the Marc Albrighton phase. We'll release him and then he will win the champions league or something.
