    What a surprise we are now doing our first bit of attacking in the last 100 minutes of the tie, simply because we waited for them to score three.

    I thought that late goal they scored would be a bit of a blessing because we couldn't go there and be passive. But it's exactly how we've been. Not a sniff of a chance for best part of 20 mins.

    What a ball for the Watkins goal. To have the composure in the last minute to put it perfectly into his stride is amazing. You would forgive a player for an anywhere will do type clearance but that was measured.

    Is it better for us to have Man U, Chelsea and Newcastle in conference and europa league next sesson, as it adds to their schedule. Or better for them to flop the end of this season and finish 8th to 10th?

    He scores penalties now by the way if he takes them. A far greater number of his shots are hitting a small area that he is aiming for. He used to just take percentage shots.

    Absolutely phenomenal performance. Just on the media going with the headlines of this being a shock. We're 8 points behind Arsenal, is Forest beating Palace a shock or Newcastle beating Tottenham a shock? We also beat them the last time we played them.

    If Man U win 17 in a row, and we maintain our 1.987689 PPG. Then we'll both qualify for the eurovision song contest.

    If Newcastle win 10 out of 12 to end the season. And we win 4 or 5 out of 12. I don't think we could have any complaints.

    Was thinking exactly this yesterday. It would likely have been 2 nil or 2 -1 to Tottenham without the red card. That's up to a six goal difference swing.

    The sky commentator in the Bournemouth Man U game said that Villa fans will be watching this game with interest as Villa and Man United are vying for champions league spots. Odd use of the word vying.

    If we don't win any more football matches then I wouldn't really want or expect us to finish in the top 4 or 5.

    I really hope we resign Finn Azaz and then just chuck him back out on loan. This thread just isn't the same.

    But that's literally how that works. When you get there the hype often isn't there. It's why Man City atmosphere isn't good, they're so used to winning. Their best atmosphere was on the way up through the divisions.

    We've become quite lazy as people, due to combinations of unnecessary infinite choice, and technology. If adults are glued to the phones then what choice does a child have. It really worries me too. I try and avoid using my phone as much as possible in front of my children but we are effectively set up to depend on our phones. I do lots of activities with my boys too like you say, outside, games, etc which limits their screen time. They can't find anything to watch on TV with 47 children's channels. This is the choice issue.

    But we actually have Watkins Mcginn and Martinez available this time. Would be a bit odd to play a reserve side again.
