  1. I'd go with: Martinez Cash Konsa Lenglet Moreno Kamara Luiz McGinn Tielemans Bailey Watkins
  2. I must say - that was one of the best Villa away ends I've had the pleasure of standing in for a considerable while while in my opinion. It was non-stop passionate, unconditional support and noise for 90 minutes from the Villa-packed Shed End, it was rocking like we were 5-0 up and it was 0-0! None of the moans and groans that you get at home matches when a Villa player gives the ball away etc. It was almost irrelevant what was happening on the pitch the 6,000 were just going to sing and make noise whatever happened, was great to hear some old songs coming out too. The Chelsea tourists and prawn sandwich eaters in the home end nearest to us were literally gawping at us for most of the game. You can tell by the player's comments (Cash and Emi M) in the post-match interviews and social media posts that they felt it too, McGinn was literally fist-pumping to the away end when we were winning corners and pushing towards the end, it felt like we were going to suck the ball in! Our away support is usually class, but this was a notch up, maybe it was because of the larger allocation that it was the first many have been able to get tickets to for a while? Or with it being a Friday night and everyone well-oiled? Either way, I would have feared for my personal health if we'd have got a late winner!
  3. I really hope I'm wrong (and I was about Chelsea beating us on Friday in the cup), but I really think we could be in for a struggle tomorrow night, it's vital the fans (like the vociferous away end did for 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge) do their bit to help the boys over the line like they did against Man City and Arsenal this season.
  4. Should be very easy but expensive! If it's in the Putney End you won't need to sit on your hands as over 50% will be Villa in the 'home' areas as it is, will be very relaxed, there's no segregation in the concourse either and all go in using the same turnstiles as mentioned above so can literally just walk into the 'away' section and stand in there!
  5. I hope we absolutely batter them, I despise everything about them.
  6. Me too. I hope we're very, very wrong!

Well done mate, unfortunately mine haven't in today's post, if they don't arrive in tomorrow's I'll have to ring them as will have already left on Friday before the post!

Most people seem to have received theirs.

Nothing today either, Villa confirmed they were posted Friday first class, address is definitely correct been the same for years and been fine, has something gone wrong here?
  11. It's main advantage is the outdoor area overlooking the Thames but will be absolutely brassic on Friday there!!
  12. The Ship in Wandsworth is a good'un as well and not too far away, although might be a bit too cold out for that!
  13. Not 'allocated' any as such ("we're Aston Villa, we drink where we want!") but Earl's Court is the place. Courtfield, Prince of Teck etc then the epic walk from EC to the ground en masse with all the locals gawping as Villa songs echo in the West London air!

Same, had an email on Friday saying they'd been dispatched but still nothing on the mat!
  15. Not quite the same, I hate to remind everyone of that awful time but the gap between ourselves and Bradford in the pyramid at that time was far greater than the one between Chelsea and Boro currently.

I think the day that this happens is the day I stop attending (even if it's my own ticket which will match the biometrics of my face!)
  17. The potential effect of this can't be underrated, particularly the fact that Villa fans will have an entire behind-the-goal end. Usually the away fans at Chelsea are shoved in that corner but with an entire Shed End 6,000-strong roaring Villa on and completely out-noising the (fairly disgruntled at the moment I would say) home crowd from start to finish you'd think that would only help our cause on the pitch.

Correct. Returned tickets go on sale to the criteria to which they initially sold out, in this case ST holders.
  19. I'd go with something like: Olsen Cash Carlos Lenglet Moreno Dendoncker Kamara McGinn Bailey Duran Diaby

An entire Villa Shed End, will be a sight to behold I recall an amazing atmosphere with Villa taking up the entire Shed under MO'N when Randy Lerner put free coaches on for us despite the fact we got battered (I think) 0-4 down there.

    Woosh! All gone by 17:01!

Would it suggest there is something wrong if a season ticket holder (who didn't attend Boro) eligible tomorrow at 5pm on their AVFC ticket account when logged in and click on 'away tickets' can't see this game listed at all but a non-ST holder claret member (also logged in) not eligible until Wednesday 5pm can albeit with a 'coming soon' message?!
  23. Really appreciate that mate, will do that, cheers!

This is what I'd be interested to hear opinions on.
  25. The fourth round of the FA Cup - uncharted territory for us of late! Be interesting to see what team he puts out with a huge PL game against Newcastle a few days after.
