  1. Tough year? This must be an old video this is the best year we had in living memory Joking aside, if only CEOs didn't have to report to directors and shareholders you could be onto something.
  2. No. It's getting tightened with new squad control rules, but current regulations will still apply next season.

    The NSWE Board

That would be fantastic turnaround and big milestone for them. Did anyone really believe this is possible when we were on a brink of administration?
  4. We won't have enough ffp headroom for all these purchases you listed (unless we sell some of our prized assets that is).
  5. This year's hole is estimated to be about £100m. Not sure if they have any other property to sell, or they'll need to rely on player sales. I guess they could sell the stadium, I know it was outlawed in championship, but I *think* it's still allowed in Premier League.

    Chelsea

They were better than us in all 3 games we played this season (apart from the period when they went down to 10 men). I still think we have a good chance at beating them, but it's not gonna be easy "burying" them, that's all I'm saying.

    Chelsea

Have to disagree about overall squad depth and quality. I think if Unai had Chelsea players at his disposal at Villa he could do more with them than with our current squad. The level of mismanagement at Chelsea is staggering, but the amount of talent they have is impressive.

    Chelsea

Chelsea were the better side when we played them away this season, game only changed after the red card for Gusto. I'm sure Emery and players won't be as cocky as you are and they won't underestimate them.

    Chelsea

Just like we buried them in FA cup? They still have better squad than ours and it will take some Emery magic to beat them.
  10. Shhh...in case Arteta is reading this...there's one arsenal fan that is likely to get 20+ goals this season.
  11. Why champions league specifically?
  12. We already sold Villa Park to NSWE and made mockery of PSR, so perhaps is Chelsea that copy us? You are making it sound like we are a victim here and Chelsea are the bad guys. Nobody has moral high ground here.
  13. Thank you sir, voice of reason. You only need to look at how these odds change massively after every week to come to the conclusions that we shouldn't pay any attention to them.
  14. 777 is very unlikely to happen. Unless they find another buyer, administration might be the only option.
  15. When you saying we are £15m under, do you include this season in your 3 year calculations, or you mean 3 year balance situation at the end of last season? If you mean our situation now, I very much doubt it. It would need to take massive reduction in our losses this season to get us to £15m psr surplus. Our loss would need to essentially come down from £120m to £45m for us to end up with £15m psr surplus at the end of this season.
  16. Couldn't agree more. Ty is not only better at defending individually than Torres, but he is also good organiser and leader on the pitch. Very different profile to other defenders we have.
  17. It's interest free debt to their owner...he paid for their stadium.
  18. You assuming our owners would be OK with having to pump in £200m+ of their own money every season to "catch up" with Spurs and Liverpool. Yes, they are rich, but they are not a charity. I would argue that even if silly spending was allowed, they wouldn't put in much more than they do already (or they would have never bothered buying the club, knowing that competing with state owned clubs is futile).
  19. Maybe we did have discussions with Premier League already, they wouldn't be made public anyway.
  20. Pretty much the same system is already in place in uefa competitions. It's more than likely that Premier League will adopt something similar. As usual, the devil is in the detail, so let's wait for all the details to emerge before "giving up".
  21. There are exceptions obviously, but watching football over the years I heard this phrase hundreds of times: "anywhere else on the pitch, it's a foul"
  22. Yes, but it's seen very often that chalenges in the box seem to have higher threshold than outside of the box before the foul is given. It's just in refs nature to be cautious about giving pens away.
  23. These are accounts for last season, they are already being charged for last season, so there's nothing here that Premier League doesn't know already. And like ours, not all these losses are PSR related. They will be docked 2-3 points as they were already punished for 2 out of 3 years this new charge is looking at (avoiding double jeopardy).
