As the title suggests (and username) Im a Man City fan of over 40 years (though now exiled to sunny Cornwall during their years of glory)...so yes I follwoed them through the very dark days of division 2 and relegations in the 80's and 90's and was there before the money came in. I saw the horrors of Creney and Perry Suckling along with the odd bright momnt like Ian Brightwell scoring a thunderbolt at the Swamp (Old Trfaford) and the 5-1 at Maine Road and the 10-1 vs Huddersfield...I saw our odd glimmer of hope like Paul Stewart get taken by spurs and later Shaun Wright Phillips get snatched up by Chelsea (only to return a few years later for one last hurrah)
Always had a soft spot for Villa (and West Ham funnily enough) - proper clubs
Anyway here to chat about football and was wondering what you guys made about the Grealish transfer (potential) - hopefully be able to discuss that in the prpoer thread now Ive introduced myself.
