I was also in the Liverpool end of Club Wembley. Felt like an away game as most around me in the neutral area were Liverpool too. Felt horrible when they scored, so 6 minutes later me and the 2 Villans on my left made up for it

With or without Cleverly we have the same problems of not having enough to unlock defences. There'll be less pressure than at United for sure, but to ask him to be the key to improving 1 of the worst home sides the Prem has ever seen is unfair on him. For me, has less ability than Delph (almost irreplaceable for us) and Westwood, who I don't see living up to his potential currently, so wouldn't be averse to seeing him challenged. Around £15m on Cleverly and Kozak instead of a quality, exciting AM and winger is, on the whole, sickening for me but what can we do...

I don't want to get rid of Lambert, I like his vision for the club and aspects of his transfer policy. However, his comments really irk me and I can't accept some of the things he says. One of the most unbearable things is when says we've been playing well when we haven't. His answers taken from a piece in the Mail really annoyed me: "Q If Villa go down would it be a disaster? Listen, you don’t want to go down by any stretch, no chance. What you are asking me, a load of other managers are probably being asked the same thing. There’s a right handful of teams in the same situation. We know we have to fight like hell to get out of this situation. You roll up your sleeves and get on with it, or you just roll over – and we’re not going to roll over." Surely the correct answer is, YES it would be a disaster as we're a massive club who have been in the Prem for its duration. Instead he's comparing us to smaller clubs in a similar situation. I know this means little, but you have to make fans aware you know the size of the club. As for not rolling over, that's EXACTLY what we've been doing!! Not buying muscle for centre mid really has not helped this. Before anyone says Lerner isn't backing him this month, he spent a lot of money in the summer, this should be enough to cover our problem areas. He hasn't addressed all of them however, and we're suffering now. "Q Queens Park Rangers, Southampton and Newcastle are buying. Is it frustrating because they are trying to spend their way out of trouble? Yes they are, but I think that’s everybody else’s prerogative. Quick question, and I wasn't sure where to put it. I have an AVTV subscription and I thought I could use this to listen to audio commentary on the iphone app, but the login is incorrect. Do I have to additionally purchase the premium content within the app? If so that's ridiculous.

What does he owe us for, being frozen out without getting a proper chance? Accepting high wages that we offered to him? I haven't seen one performance from him worth highlighting due to him being the worst player for us. But because of his playing style he's deemed lazy and scapegoated. What sort of antics are you talking about? I'm genuinly interested because if its the Shisha thing its hardly anything serious considering his next performance was the Chelsea one. I don't want a replacement for him as I think we won't be able to find a more talented player. Yes he doesn't score enough goals, but now being in an attacking team, continously being played in the position he wants, I think that will come. Also, is he not the perfect type player for Lambert's system?

He didn't play against Everton. Okay he didn't do much against West Ham but there's no point singling him out for it because the same can be said for 10 other players that day. Its almost as if last season he got a bit of praise because he was undoubtedly our best player, but now we're bottom of the league its easy to start picking on Ireland again.

Tell me about it. Makes me wonder what sort of players Villa fans like watching. Would they prefer Herd in there because he's "more committed"? I hope Ireland isn't driven out of the club as he's the most creative player we have. We might not have seen it much in terms of goals and assists but that's not a reason to call him a liability. Look how important Modric was to Spurs, did he get many goals and assists? I can only assume the Ireland haters stopped watching us under Mcleish which is why they didn't see his MOTM performances.

Almost completely agree with you, its still horrific to watch for now but for different reasons. So far Lambert can't seem to get across to the players the type of style he wants to play. Mcleish set our team up to try and not lose, which is why I won't forgive him for punishing my eyes every week. I've been so impressed by Lambert in pre-season with his interviews as well as the signings. The start of the season comes and I'm not impressed by the narrow tactics in both games. I don't agree with dropping Ireland, who makes more penetrating passes than anyone else and who KEA himself said was our most skillful player. The most disappointing thing which appears unanimous, is Herd at right mid. Mcleish did this vs West Brom last year and I slated him, thinking I'd never see this again under another manager. Its unacceptable and we can't just say its because of the lack of quality in the squad, because there's at least Holman and Ireland on the bench. I don't want to slate the manager as I agree he needs time, but the first signs are not reassuring me so far.
