  1. Without any sarcasm intended, thank you for clarifying where he was playing; I'm generally a fan of Weimann (Wisemann if you're Niall Quinn) but all I saw him do on Sunday was wander around aimlessly and struggle to get involved. Whether this is down to him playing in an unfamiliar position or not, I do not know, but he was completely ineffective. He either needs to be playing wider on the right, as he was towards the end of last season, where as you say he can utilise the space, or not at all.
  2. Yes God called too. Westwood is the new Jesus.
  3. If no one comes in: ---------------Given-------------- Lowton---Vlaar---Clark---Lichaj ---------------Herd--------------- --------KEA----------Delph------ --------------Ireland------------- --------Bent-------Weimann----
  4. As much as dislike Warnock and McLeish, he's most experienced midfield option. It's too big of a game to start Gardner. I hope Bannan stays on the bench. I saw it as in ideal opportunity to start Gardner in the centre and let him try and impose himself at the top level. Dreading this now.
  5. I second this. He's added some much needed bite to the midfield and has easily been our most consistent performer this season.
  6. I'd like to see him playing behind Weimann on Tuesday as there were a few bright moments between the two of them yesterday, bring Gardner into midfield in his place with the instruction of getting into the box to back up the wee men. I also think Carruthers is worth a shout ahead of Albrighton, who just pisses me off more and more with every passing game.
  7. Same team but I'd throw Weimann in, give him a chance, and play Gabby in Albrighton's place.
  8. If Gabby has rfecovered from the shites I'd start the two of them up front against SHA
  9. With Albrighton out I'd bring in The Fonz for Ireland and play Gabby wide right, Downing on the left and Ash behind Fonz. Bannan and Clark in the middle, Collins next to Dunne at the back.
  10. His movement on the forward line created chances, half chances but chances none the less. Would have loved to have seen him come on for Ireland to play alongside a clearly, and understandably, off the pace Gabby.
  11. Something I'd really like to see against Burnley is Bannan in the Petrov role. Similar to the way the Spanish use small skillful deep lying midfielders I could really see Bannan as a little terrier yapping at the heels one second and the next spraying passes around. He'd need Reo Coker alongside him though.
