If we had been playing like this all season would easily be in the European places. Absolutely a huge turnaround from the last few games under Smith. The guys look more energized, enthusiastic, and just happier to be wearing the Claret and Blue. Let's get an insurance goal early on and put this one to bed gents.

Been on a classics kick last few days so last night watched, 'Casablanca'. Exceptional movie with a great cast. First time I had ever seen it and I can see why it won Best Picture. Tonight going to continue in the same classics vein and watch another Bogart movie, 'Key Largo'

Today is my birthday(Turned the big 35) and am quite cheered up by the amount of calls and texts I have received wishing me best wishes. Also, I finally was able to finish painting my house as well lol so that's an added bonus.

I will be the first to raise my hand and say that early signs are encouraging. Yes only been one game in charge so far, but I will admit that he seems to have the respect of the guys(Which clearly Smith from my perspective at least lost a little bit) and is saying and doing the right things so far. Not saying I'm 100% on the Gerrard train quite yet but will probably be joining the line at the ticket booth if we get a good result against Palace.

Just finished the latest Charlie Park book, "The Nameless Ones'. John Connolly just proved again why he's my favorite author. Now just wish Ian Rankin would write another Rebus novel ASAP.
