  1. Was this Rawlett by any chance? I know they had one a couple of weeks ago, my lad attends and told me. If it's not then that's two schools in Tamworth in recent weeks going into lockdown.
  2. They've struggled to consistently score goals, and yet they're appointing a manager who became ultra defensive at Wolves and always parked the bus at Spurs. I remember when Utd went to Spurs under him and the fans booed them off the pitch because they were so negative. They got smashed too. I don't disagree with the sacking, just a really bad replacement.
  3. As bad as Trippier has been, he'll be either England's starting right back or left back for the Euros. Southgate loves to pick players out of form.
  4. Well, that saved the avengers a job at least.
  5. Lee Carsley. FA know him, and the U21's know him. I don't agree with it, but he's in the FA's boys club now. Unless he takes the Stoke job, as rumoured.
  6. I hope the majority of the first IX do. We've got a tough but winnable run of fixtures over Christmas coming thick and fast. This is the last "easy" game on paper for a while, with no breaks until the new year. The two games against City and Arsenal will have been both mentally and physically tough, they need a rest and reset.
  7. I don't agree with the title statement. The two major signings were Lukaku (who I don't think Mourinho ever fancied), and Pogba. He downed tools as a professional, and showed why Fergie was happy to let him go. Still very much a transitional period after Moyes and Van Gaal. He was the wrong fit for Spurs, but to say he won nothing isn't fair when by rights he'd got them to a cup final and was denied the chance of winning it.
  8. I agree Mourinho has been left behind a little bit in terms of style of football, but these points I can't agree with. Utd - Europa League, League Cup, and 2nd place. Best season since Fergie left. Did go downhill afterwards though. Spurs - They sacked him before the cup final. Strange decision. He's very good in one off games.
  9. I think it could be argued that the relative intensity of the leagues has an impact of how the English teams perform in Europe though. With the exception of a few clubs, there are no easy games in the PL. Just ask Utd. Or Arsenal and City after playing us. In some of the leagues as well they rearrange fixtures to maximize how their teams perform in Europe, giving more rest time or rearranging more challenging fixtures as their calendars allow it. The PL doesn't do that, they just want games on TV as often as possible. That in-depth strength of the leagues just isn't comparable in Spain, Germany, or Italy. Look at the money spent and the quality of the players at teams like Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Brentford. They've all got players from the top European teams or players that are fancied by the top teams all over the world. Not to demean those clubs, and I think it's great they can bring top quality in, but they don't have huge following, grounds, or history in comparison to the level of quality they have.
  10. Depends on the comedian. Frankie Boyle already did it years ago. (Mods - This is very NSFW, so apologies if I've caused offence. Only linked to show an example disproving OP).
  11. When Sunak entered the house, slightly late, he couldn't have looked any more smug (even more so than usual). Sadly, I suspect he knows he's going to get the vote.
  12. I know they don't like to work over Christmas, nobody does. However it's just another example of what's best for them. I don't feel I'm particularly politically aware, but I get frustrated that so many people do not make enough of things like this. However, the Tory media are largely to blame too. Enough has come out in the media and on social media now though to show Rishi is a dead man walking. The only reason he called the early salmon breakfast this morning is to prop up support for him, and nothing really to do with Rwanda.
  13. I hope this goes wrong for Rishi; that open warfare breaks out between the factions and he loses the vote. We've got to have an election then, surely?
  14. Fantastic, thank-you for sharing. You handled it very well. Laughed my head off though
  15. When people accidentally fall over. Not getting hurt, just falling over. I was once in a hairdressers and saw this chap crossing the road to come in to the same salon. Whilst gently jogging over, his ankle gave way and he just did the old comedy hands out in front and splattered on the road. Thankfully a quiet day on the road and he was uninjured, but he came in like nothing happened and everyone just started laughing.
  16. Firstly, I hope you're ok and it's nothing to worry about. As a regular hospital visitor I'd recommend you take a blindfold or eye cover for the MRI, and choose gas and air for the camera. I'm not claustrophobic but I can't do an MRI without my eyes covered. It really freaks me out. The gas and air is great too, you're totally at peace when they do the camera. I've had loads of them over the years, it's over before you know it. First few times I held the nurses hand and they'd help me through it.
  17. I think a few people have opined he's not happy with his squad considering the players he's forcing into positions they're not familiar with whilst he doesn't play certain players. Also a few questions regarding players like Mahrez and Gundogan leaving without adequate replacements.
  18. Pep can't be this desperate for transfer cash can he? They look utterly flat.
  19. I feel sorry for the opposition who face him when he's on form and back in the team with a point to prove. Had a fabulous start and his output has dropped a little recently. Still not played badly though. He's also played a lot of football since joining, and I suspect he's probably not used to that with playing in less demanding leagues with less fixtures. Emery and co will get him firing again.
  20. How do the fans of the sky clubs become so complacent? Being here and competing is magical. We're seriously competing at the top of the closed shop, it's like the feeling of winning the playoffs but week after week. UTV, and thank you Don Unai.
  21. No idea. Pinched it from a Liverpool forum. I can't claim any credit.
  22. Can't wait for Unai cam. He's changed Aston Villa. What a journey. I love this club, the staff, the players, but Unai has a special place in my heart. UTV.
  23. Watching the COVID inquiry footage, Johnson has forgot an awful lot in the last few years. He's lying and he hates being questioned. I'd love it if the mask slipped live on TV.
