I agree. Plus Hourihane deserves a run out. Scored some great goals for us and has always been patient to get his shot. McGinn's form starting to vary as he's still coming back really, and with the Scotland games he'll be knackered. Conor should get an Irish runout, so be match ready

Guilbert confuses me. Quick down the flank, but regularly kippered on the outside. Gets forward brilliantly, but can't lay a decent cross or pass to save his life. Perhaps going forward he just hasn't adjusted to the pressure and speed of the prem, but I can see why Smith bought Cash (who also looked dodgy defensively yesterday). Was calling all season for Elmo to play at right back, and every time he does he gets quality balls into the box. Shame he gets small knocks regularly.

I only rate Trez and AEG as bench players. However, AEG has proven he has no heart, cowardly pulling out of chances to score in case he gets slightly hurt. Seen it several times now. That's the main reason I think Trez has become more favoured on the pitch by Smith in my opinion. I'd keep Trez, who I also reckon will continue to improve, but get rid of AEG. Total snowflake.

Hi. Been watching the Villa since the mid 80's for my sins. Born just after our European Cup win, missed the best bit Had a season ticket on the half-way line in the Doug until having a family got in the way. Will be back weekly in the stands in a few years
