Are you convinced he will be you with and not Spurs next season? The blokes a legend and you've gone through the exact emotions Brentford did. They all said they overpaid him for us, we knew his quality and work ethic combined with the potential and we knew they (and you) had a bargain and they were skeptical just like you lot were when you signed him.. and now look. A villa legend in the making and an England International. The boys done us proud. Can't wait to have a Thatchers with him on his return to Newton Abbot, no doubt the soft lad will want a small bottle of bud as per.

Nice £75,000 coming our way for his appearance off the bench yesterday, and a further £150,000 for Villa staying up. Cheers Villa & Brentford. Sir Oliver Watkins is going to be a national hero in a few years.

He never looked the part until we loaned him out to WSM. He came back a different man. It was evident he was destined for the PL and eventually England once he started playing as he did the 18 months before he left us for Brentford

Could you kindly loan him back to us towards the end of the season if you've either secured a European place or no longer mathematically can? We seriously need getting out of L2 and it's near impossible when our youth keeps getting poached. 2 or 3 gamee should be fine at the end of the season. Cheers

Gutted I'm not in Exeter (I left England when lockdown was announced) for a kick around with him as he's back a few days over the International break. I hear the boys were gunna say he can only use his left foot but the way he's playing now it's not even a disadvantage!

Not suggesting stats are everything, but Opta, who are pretty adept at this kind of analysis, give Premier League players a Performance Score after every game. Thus far this season, Watkins is averaging 93 and Bamford 69.Football Index is another half-decent measure of relative value. On there Watkins is priced at 1.39, Bamford at 0.95, and Wilson at 0.74.

Total sale of £7.8m for a league two player. Incredible. Potential for it to go up another £1m if Ollie activates all the £5m sell on fees for Brentford, too.
