    Tyler Adams

I rate Adams, he’s a good player, and by far Leeds’ best, and for £20m I think it would be a good signing. An interesting aspect to it is that he can also play as a right back, so could be used as an alternative option for the 3-box-3 formation, whereby he’d go in to the midfield, a left back would become a left sided centre back (either Mings or maybe Torres), and we’d play with a more orthodox left winger. Or he could just be backup to Kamara. Either way, I’ve seen us linked with far worse.
  2. https://football-italia.net/uefa-drop-potential-hint-of-juventus-exclusion/ Would expect a decision on this one way or the other very soon. Original talk was 2-3 years ban, however Juventus recently agreed to leave the Super League, so I’ve a feeling they did that and negotiated a one year ban. If this happens, we would be seeded.
  3. I’m undecided about whether we should keep him or not, last season was disappointing. However, the issue about selling him is obviously this 50% sell on fee to Barcelona. So, would anything stop us loaning him out for a two year deal for a total of £8.5m loan fee, with an obligation to buy for a smaller fee? The 50% only relates to transfer fees and not loan fees I think. It’s completely not in the spirit of things, but could be an option. He was really good in the loan for us, so I am still hopeful he can recapture that form for us, however just doing some creative accounting.
  4. That’s a great idea. I’d happily put £10 on an accumulator for that. Win win.
  5. A player that seems to be available for around £20m, in a position we desperately need, has scored 58 and assisted 38 in his previous four league campaigns. Has won the Euros, too. I give you Domenico Berardi. He also has the benefit of turning 29 this summer, so he’s the right age too. There have been no links to this guy, this is merely a suggestion of who I think would be a good signing!
  6. Apologies for linking this newspaper, but needs must: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-11085283/Newcastles-Saudi-owners-major-investors-Chelseas-new-majority-shareholder.html And we wonder why Saudi Arabian clubs suddenly have a big interest in buying Chelsea players?
  7. Not this Brennan Johnson chat again. Christ, I wouldn’t pay £15m for him. Absolutely bang average, but has scored a few so people claim he’s decent. We need to be, and will be aiming much higher this summer.
  8. https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1669763604764131330?s=46&t=9GiNomHF-13vRokddK_mjw Romano says it’s done.
  9. https://twitter.com/av_transfers1/status/1669654000415670278?s=46&t=9GiNomHF-13vRokddK_mjw All done as per this guy.
  10. He signed a new contract a few months ago.
  11. As it’s a release clause it’ll be have to be paid in full at point of transfer.
  12. I will be absolutely gobsmacked if Barella a) leaves Inter (he’s seen as “untouchable” and has three years left in his deal b) would go for just £50m (less than the asking price for Onana) and c) would go to Newcastle if he did leave. I really hope it doesn’t happen. That Luke Edwards for the Telegraph is far more of a speculator than the other journalists for the Telegraph.
  13. The Dybala clause is low as it was the only way they could get him to sign last summer. It's €12m for foreign clubs and €20m for Serie A clubs. If he doesn't move, his wage goes up dramatically. He'd be an excellent signing, obviously. Has injury problems, and is probably only fit for about 75% of a season, but he's top quality.
  14. Yeah we’ll be on TV always. They’ve got 8 channels, but we’ll be one of the first 3 you’d imagine. So if this result stays the same, we’re just a Juventus expulsion away from being seeded.
  15. My wife is a massive Inter fan, and as a result I am too. We’ve flown to Milan to watch it with her friends and family. I also absolutely despise Man City. So yeah, I’ll be watching and cheering on Inter. But I do think Man City will win.
  16. There’s an international break next week, so I would expect Tielemans will have decided his next club by Wednesday latest. That will then probably start a domino affect, as we’ll know whether we have the extra budget saved on a midfielder to go after our top tier targets in other positions or not. That’s my guess, anyway!
  17. You’re changing the goal posts now though, you said the Athletic don’t do transfer speculation, but this proves they do. In fact, they only tend to get involved when there’s genuine interest, which backs up that we actually are in for Tielemans. Anyway, I’m not here for an argument, I hope there is legs in it, as I think he’d be a great signing.
  18. This was six days ago, and that transfer hasn’t been confirmed yet.
  19. David Ornstein is basically the transfer expert, and works for them.
  20. Spanner in the works? Genuine interest, or a final push from the agent to get a bit more out of us?
  21. Absolutely. I’d rather sign him than Pote, to be honest, especially considering the differences in value. He got another assist yesterday, to end the season with 6 goals and assists in the league. Only question mark is the military service, but that’s a worry for another year!
