We’ve scored 20 goals in 18 matches in the Prem. But we’ve scored 9 goals in 5 games under Emery.

YES JACOB GET ON THAT WING

We’re actually spreading the pitch and moving the ball with pace. It’s not complicated and we’re not doing it perfectly but it’s amazing what some speed on the ball does. Also haven’t seen 2 players standing in the same 5m radius too often which is a f****** relief. We actually have shape.
-
Would love to see Ramsey subbed onto the LW.
-
I feel like complicated gives too much credit, chaotic maybe

5 years ago. I’m not saying Dyche is the answer here, but the guy engineered a European place with a team built out of some rusty sheet metal lying around in the PL floor. To imply the consideration of him is ‘insane’ is, well, insane.
-
The same Eddie Howe who iversaw Burnley floundering in the Championship and was replaced by Sean Dyche??
-
I accept your 1st and 3rd points - but as much as Sporting was in a dry spell, I’d say they’re more like the 3rd horse in a 2.5 horse race. Situation in Portugal is more comparable to Spain with Sporting being Athletico. There will always be risk, just a young manager with no experience in any of the top 5 leagues - I don’t know if that’s a risk we can afford.
-
I don’t understand the Dyche hate? I’m not saying he’s a good fit, but he’s the only person in the running outside Poch and Tuchel who’ve taken a PL team to Europe. I get Burnley were one dimensional, but what made them successful if not the manager? Certainly wasn’t a glut of financial investment and star players.
-
Isn’t Amorim just the exotic version of appointing Gerrard? - 37 - Limited 3 years experience - Title success in a much worse league Would prefer Dyche - taking that Burnley team to Europe is no mean feat.
-
I actually reckon Ramsey has a lot of Grealish traits (not as good at this stage). LW is where he belongs imo
-
Source? If true this is f****** insane.
-
That’s a really good point - couldn’t agree more as this was always the benefit of taking it away from him. Really Martinez should be captain imo
-
This - by no means am I saying Ramsey is as good, but his strengths are quite comparable to Grealish who thrived off LW. Surely has to be a 4-2-3-1 now - Luiz and Kamara seem capable enough in the 2 with those LW and RW roles pushing back hard defensively. The 4-2-1-2-1 Gerrard played yesterday basically seemed to be a 4-2-3-1 with extra steps.

Agree £30 million would be about the mark if he’s still capable and wages are reduced. He’ll be 27 in a few daysand signed a 6 year deal IIRC which would take him through to about 31/32. -

I think he’ll be back at some point. The whole thing is a horrid commentary on the commercialisation and discrepancy in financial fairness across the league. Curious, let’s say Jack wins a CL and a few more PL trophies this year and next. How much would you give to get him? Assuming wages were re negged as that seems like the main sticking point at this stage. -
Sure but that’s all squads in different ways. Question still stands, how many other squads would you prefer?

I don’t think Talent is the issue. Honestly who’s squad would you prefer over ours? Arsenal, Man City, Man United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham? Maybe Crystal Palace and Newcastle United? Who else? Tactics go a long way.

We’re actually making the pitch look really big
-
Agreed - would go Buendia on the right and Ings up top tho. Has Ollie really shown anything this year? Don’t see him pressing defences as much as his first season.

I don’t really get this - surely your first allegiance is to the club not the manager? Club should sit above any individual including the owners. Also why do people always say this about managers but less so about players and owners? At the end of the day, we can hope things change and I think we’d all be delighted if they did - but ultimately we all want what’s best for the club and if that means no SG than we need to be able to be honest about that otherwise what’s the point.
