    Why would anyone, by that logic? It's not like he's pulling up trees at Wolves. Pretty sure many said Coutinho would never consider us, then he signed. I wouldn't have expected Everton captain Digne to join us either, but he did. Ings is another that surprised me. People are talking about Tielemans and Diallo. Perhaps they're out of teach too, but Neves is honestly no further out of reach.

    I'd have Potter in a heartbeat, I think he'd come here too. But we'd need to act very fast and give him certain assurances about players he might want to bring with him/buy in January. With Purslow's love for all things Slippy, I can't see us having put out the feelers yet, and we're risking a situation where Brighton are miles ahead of us in the table. At which point, he probably won't want to give that up for us.

    Or you could take the other view and hypothesize that Purslow was willing to offer him a crazy deal to bring him here. Remember he was top of the league with Rangers and playing in in a Europa League they almost ended up winning. He'll have been offered handsome terms to take the Villa job by his best pal Christian, who is not quite the shrewd mover that some seem to believe he is.

    People were saying at half time that West Ham would be asking questions of Moyes as to why things were so bad and that we were in control of the game. I said West Ham knew exactly what they were doing, there was a game plan being executed and they would catch us on the break second half and win. Lo and behold. If I can see it, and it's plain as day, how could Steven not? Dirt manager. We're going down if we stick with him.
