Hi everyone, After years of being a lurker I made the decision to finally join VT. I'm an Australian who has seen Villa play 3 or 4 matches in the late 90's and early 00's when I lived in London. All matches were at VP except one away match at St James Park. My member name is Jack Hughes, the first ever goal scorer for Aston Villa. The match was played in March 1875 against Aston Brook St. Mary's (rugby team). Due to football being in it's infancy days the match was played first half rugby and second half football. At half time the score was 0 - 0 with Jack Hughes scoring in the second half to ensure Aston Villa win the first ever match they played. Great to join the family and banter!
