We are 5-2 on aggregate v West Ham this season so we've put that bad match up to bed imo.
Man. United everyone knows is an abnormal psychological hold over us. All I ask is next season we have Konsa-Pau as the CBs for both games and then we'll see what happens as that option wasn't available to us in either game.
We are unbeaten in three of the four games we've played against Chelsea with the Don so let's not overhype them as some jinx opponent, three of those matches have been away aswell.
Our home defeat last season was probably one of our best games under Slippy aswell, that's one match you can't pin on tactical ineptique for us losing under him.
Throw in (hopefully) some Mings physicality too for Man U. Have to think he’s another one of those players who would’ve helped keep us from sinking against Man U.

Do I really need to explain? Grealish was borderline world class at times for us.
Well not too surprising when Grealish was essentially the whole team.

Might there be a chance our manager has spotted that and do something about it ?

I love this kid. Proper football brain.
Do we have a camera for every player?

Interesting but two incomparable seasons in terms of performance level.
How do you determine that?

Don’t forget Thiago Silva, between them they alone should be good enough to beat us.
Or,
these two play for a mid table team that lives on its past success and have been humped tonight by a team we beat last week. Why do Villa fans always look for reasons why we might not win rather than look for reasons why we might actually win ? We are 4th in the league on merit so should believe a win against Chelsea is a real possibility not guaranteed but a real possibility.
I’m not looking for a reason why we won’t win. I just don’t think they’ll be 5-0 bad once Palmer is back. He’s scored 10 of their 17 goals over the last 5 PL games before today. He’s clearly a vital part of their team and it would be silly to think him returning wouldn’t have some positive effect for them.

They haven’t done too well on TV tonight! I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing for us ahead of Saturday night though - surely they can’t be this bad again? There will have to be pressure on them to perform. On the upside, Arsenal will be buzzing with confidence ahead of the spurs tie.
If Palmer is back, which he should be, they won’t be this bad.

Basically if someone smashes Palmer's kneecap into low earth orbit Chelsea are an 8th in the championship standard team not the premier league. Not that I'm wishing injury but they're basically a one man team

Tbf to Emi, when he looks down at it it's the right way up. Like a nurses watch.
Or like looking back to an ambulance.

Is this our highest points total in the Prem since our first season in it?
Yes.

Crap that we miss him for first leg as he’s a genuine game winner .
Still confused on what exactly happened. Didn’t the ref waive off the second yellow the moment after showing it to Emi?

Harry Kane had that season where he had 22 goals and 14 assists (had the most in the league for both), and somehow didn't get POTS. Ollie just needs 3 more goals and 2 more assists, but I fear history might repeat itself
He won golden boot though.

Not entirely. The header against Chelsea stands out.
Ehh. One mistake in how many games compared to before Emery?

All players have flaws or most do. Cash just has that unfortunate habit of making costly mistakes. Mings was no different, his mistakes often proved costly. That impulsivness in someone's game can be difficult to eradicate.
When Emery came around those mistakes disappeared.

The 'technology' they use, i.e. someone drawing lines with a mouse, isn't accurate enough to determine calls that tight, they should stick with the onfield decision.
100% agree.

Ooph, the illusion of perception has caught me out again, yeah that's nasty.
There’s just too much room for error in that to change the call on the field, imo

LOL Casemiro.
