    I'm scratching my head. Getting thrashed by Leeds and Southampton, yet pulling off convincing wins against Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal. Two of those were away wins too! We had a combined 4 points against the so-called top 6 + Leicester last season.

    Correct me if I am wrong - a loan is a liability to the club that you'll have to eventually pay back whilst issuing more shares basically means injecting money into company "in exchange" of more shares, in this case purely injecting money.

    The club can also try to negotiate some sort of a cash deal to buy off the buy-back clause, similar to the Toby Alderweireld deal to Tottenham where A. Madrid seemingly paid Southampton to wipe off the buy option of the loan deal so the transfer to Tottenham can go through.

    Crazy things can happen in the transfer deadline. Paperwork not handed in on time, players pulling away, club comes in and swooped the player in a matter of minutes. Everything can happen.
