  1. Well that was something else, looking forward to the next one, definitely subscribed to that channel, the playing as Bailey, buendia and jack has given me hope yet again, either way welcome Leon!
  2. Agreed, 3 strikers for one position is enough, can't see us spending £20mil plus to then go and watch one of them or Wesley sit on the bench. Benrama or bust I think. Been a great window regardless of today.
  3. In that scenario we would probably need one in, but are we gonna pay big money and then watch one of that player or Wesley sit on the bench. I'm still just so happy that this rebuild is happening in the prem and with money. 2019 has been the most optimistic I've ever felt for the club
  4. Agreed that I can't see us getting a striker (would love a surprise). If Benrahma is competed that will probably be us done in regards to incoming transfers. With the us trying to find clubs for kalanic, bjarnason, Lansbury and Hogan. Chester could be added as we have signed 4 CB's but he obviously is a presence in the dressing room and played through an injury due to mismanagement at the club and forced to play at cb for month's when he should have been on the treatment table so deserves to be looked after, especially with the freeloaders we've had at the club previously.
  5. Think of the two Brentford players it's more likely to be Benrahma that we are after. We have more of a need squad wise for wingers than strikers. We play 1 up top and currently have 4 players for that position and only 3 wingers for the 2 wing positions (not including players playing out of natural position of course).
  6. Great signing for us on so many levels, which is why Bournemouth were always going to demand such a fee. The fact we have to bring in so many players, bringing another one of the loan success stories helps by him being a known quantity on the pitch and in the dressing room.
  7. These stats may require checking (I was sent them by a frustrated blues mate so apologies if wrong) however if accurate his chance creation last season compared to Grealish and Hourihane make this signing look even better value. Chances created from set pieces; Grealish (18), Hourihane (40) and Jota (45). Chances created from open play; Grealish (60), Hourihane (30) and Jota (37). Minutes per created chance; Grealish (38.4), Hourihane (47.4) and Jota (35). Maybe he is here to start on the right after all and not just be a squad player
  8. Dunk would be an ideal player to use in negotiations with Bournemouth if they are playing hard ball over Mings. Would show them we are willing to walk away and put into perspective what the price may be compared to other players in the market (their club captain Vs player you didn't want)
  9. I am happy that our perceived targets are mainly championship based for many reasons already discussed here, mainly that they shouldn't take as long to settle as already adjusted to living here (along with their families) which is huge considering how many players we simply have to buy to have a viable squad. Getting as many of the loan players back will help as well where possible. Adding that their wages should be on the side of manageable that we can keep them should we go down and suddenly start having to comply to profit and sustainability rules. If we have a good season it creates a platform to go buy those luxury players we all crave next season.
  10. Been on this site daily lurking for too long and with all the changes we are going through (again) thought I'd join. As we go through what will be another transformation should be an exciting time and as this is where I get all my villa information anyway thought I'd actually join in the conversation. UTV
