I don't agree we are binning the game, though certainly we are not fielding our strongest side. We still have fielded a fairly decent side.

Plus we signed ings and that clearly didn't work. Watkins went into the worst form of his life because of the additional pressure.

Think konsa has had 2 for dissent.

Tbf it doesn't help that we have Zaniolo and Duran. Who have 12 yellows in 30 fouls. Which is a terrible record. Part of it is dissent and a couple of lashing out but yeah they get a terrible whistle.

Youri is good at a bunch of things, his biggest weakness is his inability to recover in transition. Wolves didn't really play much in transition, where his lack of top speed is exposed.

Really liked him sprinting back from the other side of the pitch when konsa and Luiz were against 3 wolves players and forced the winger out wide.

For such a poor performance a draw is a good result.

I imagine the Duran upfront might be in response to a really good game on Thursday and his extra size in the box to help us deal with their set pieces.

I do somewhat agree, I think we really should be playing Iroegbunam as they have Kudus and paqueta who can really cause a lot of damage through the middle of the park.

It's a very interesting lineup. Would have gone diaby or Tielemans LW, and probably played Iroegbunam still if we were playing Duran up top.

Idk he's pretty good spinning in behind (though he does end up with heavy touches here) and with the ball directly to feet. The issue is when he has to move to get it he's not the most stable despite his strength.

I mean he regularly gets in decent goal scoring positions. He had a free header in the box yesterday and 3 opportunities to have a shot where there was no one between him and the keeper (once he was fouled which should have been a pen and a red as there was no attempt to play the ball, once he committed a handball, and once he fouled). Idk getting 4 good goal scoring opportunities is hardly what I'd call bad instincts. A lot of his opportunities come from mistakes by the defender or saves as well. Plus he'd have been through on goal too when he got the ajax CB sent off as well.

He had a lot of really good first touches today. Where the ball was pinged directly at him and he put it in his stride for his pass. He's definitely less comfortable if he's stretching for it, or taking it in stride.
