    We’ve been linked with Reims 26 year old keeper Edouard Mendy. He had a good season last year in Ligue 1 and is reported to be worth 7 million. That’s good value for money

    Now that we have Wesley in, let’s sign Valentin Rongier. He’s the perfect fit for our deep lying playmaker role and he wants to leave Nantes for a new challenge!

    No we aren’t banned from signing players from Europe, They were just players that i have seen play, liked and think they would fit well in our midfield. Re Chalobah - he has been injured alot but he has bags of potential. If we could get him injury free i think he would be a good fit. Look how well Mings has gone with a injury free run in the team. I’m sure there are alot of good young DMs around Europe and I’m looking forward to seeing who we sign. I hope sign a LB gem from Europe in the same mould as Guilbert, there’s not many LBs domestically that will be cheap and have the potential to be a PL starter

    Yes we do have a good core but we will be busy in the summer to replace/buy the loan players and fill other positions. We could see new starters at striker, both wings, defensive mid, left back and center back.

    We could possibly have a ‘all left footed’ midfield against Reading with Carroll, McGinn and Hourihane. Smith must like lefties because Mings, Hause and Kalinic are lefties too

    Mings and Elphick could be a good partnership. They must know each orher well from their time at Bournemouth. I wonder if they have played many games together. When Axel recovers one of him, Chester or Mings could get moved to fullback. It’s not their best position but it’s better than having Taylor or Hutton there

    We should look at Ben Pearson from Preston North End. He’s a deep lying midfielder with a good passing game and an aggressive defender. He would be a huge upgrade on our current options
