  1. It's a typical Dildo Bros stalling tactic to drive the price down, he managed 46 games for us and 3 for Algeria this past season without a problem, so I can't see much wrong with him, I think we set a high price for him once Wet Spam were interested knowing that they will always kick off when it comes to spending money, by settings a high price gave us a little wiggle room for a slightly lower negotiating price if we are so inclined, we usually get what is a suitable amount we want, luckily we are not in a desperate problem financially as a lot of other teams are, But it will all unfold come 17.00 hrs today, and he could well be playing for us tomorrow if it all goes tits up.
  2. Well, You have brought a few donkeys over the past few years, but now seem to be getting it just right, I had that feeling last year that DS had to take a few players that weren't of his choosing (am I right) so far this season they seem to be more of his choice, and looking much better for it as well, I'm also so glad Ollie has got of to a good start, he will only get better as well.
  3. We purchased the land nearly 10 years ago in a backwater bordering Chiswick W4, an area that has now sky rocketed in land value so much so that we exchanged some land to developers who are building almost 900 Apartments next to the stadium, that paid for the stadium, plus I believe that we also came away with £10-£15 million pounds, we are fortunate to have an English owner who is not only a very astute business man but a life long Bee's fan who used to hitchhike up and down the country in his teens just to watch them play.
  4. Unfortunately not, there are those clubs relegated from the Prem still receiving millions of Sky money just for being failures in football terms!!!
  5. We love it, knowing that there is usually a £15 - £25 million profit to be made at the end of it
  6. All supposition, rumors, click bait fodder, journo's guesses, Sky crap and the usual spin churned out by the dildo bros/Wet Spam, who must be the wort ever team to do business with, all these so called "reports" are typical of the drivel now churned out, and these have no credible foundation at all, besides Said is still abroad on international duties with Algeria, the only truth you get will be from a clubs official website, and even then figures of money are never revealed.
  7. Of course he's far too expensive for a Back up role, the truth is he will be just like Ollie and not be playing second fiddle to anyone, he will be going as the main man in his position, therefore the price set is just right.
  8. Not really, A young man doing what most of them do nowadays in this media driven world, post things first without thinking, easily done, probably now regrets it, we have all done things in life, that with hindsight we still cringe at, I think his previous agent should have advised him not to post that type of thing, and that could be why he sacked him and changed agents, who knows?, As far as I know he's no problem at all club level wise, trains hard, is well liked by all, and above all knows how to play, I have actually met him to speak to and found him a very pleasant and engaging young man, There was some report, how true I don't know, coming out of Leeds, that Bielsa didn't fancy him due to that video, I find that rich coming from a man that can't/won't speak English and appears to make no attempt to learn the language, still, it is Leeds we are talking about. My money is still on him going to Villa at the last minute.
  9. He has just changed his agent this last two weeks so I would imagine that might be part of the hold up, The Porn Bros of Wet Spam always offer very low prices, in the hope that one club might fall for it, unfortunately they have picked the wrong club to mug off, as we usually get what we ask for, it could also be that some clubs are waiting until the last minute to play their hand, a bit like poker!!. It is rumored from this end that he is willing to wait his time until the right club/offer comes in January, and that's only about 11 weeks away, I'm sure he can manage financially until then, In the meantime he will keep playing for us, and hopefully enhancing himself in the shop window for the January sales.
  10. Firstly, Well done Villa a great result. I did repeatedly tell you how good Ollie was, and worth every penny you spent, left food, right foot and a header, stamina, hold up play, running, etc, he showed you all that yesterday, and he didn’t let my talking about him down, and If he continues in this way, Hopefully the next faze might even be an England cap, as he is only going to get better, hope so as we will get our reported £5 million add on. Note: Don’t get too carried away, as I think as good as you played, that must rank as one of Liverpools worst defensive display ever.
  11. Not one of the best or exciting matches to watch, very patchy in parts, but when it counts Said comes to the rescue as usual with one of his trademark goals, Hope he stays with us, but there is time left in the window for his departure, would team up well with Ollie!!
  12. Well done Villa, not the best of games but a good three points, it was strange seeing Ollie playing out wide again, but he put in a decent shift, mind you Fulham were rubbish and got what they deserved, hopefully we can get revenge on Thursday for our Play off defeat when we play them at home in the League Cup (Live on Sky).
  13. And then he missed!!! that's the only thing he can't do, keep him well away from penalty taking, just let him do what he is good at and that's scoring bags of goals in open play.
  14. Rico is the last person I would want to be sold, personally I thought he was our best player all last season, just ahead of Ollie & Said.
  15. Apparently we have been looking to sign Ghoddos for the last 16 months, hope he's worth the wait, We only have Said Benrahma left in the stock room now, the rest are not for sale, or so we have been told repeatedly by the management.
  16. Fully agree with you. I was very disappointed with the whole game, You are not wrong with your assessment of Watkins, Worked hard but he was only fed a few scraps all night long tonight, so not a lot to work with, he's been used to balls being whipped in from the left and right that he can do something with, I was very surprised that I saw non of that tonight, hopefully DS can work on that and put that right quickly so as to bring the best out of him to score, let's just hope, as you say he doesn't get destroyed through lack of good football.
  17. And we beat them last week in the Carabao cup at St Mary's, They put out a 1st team squad minus one and we made 6 changes with "fringe" players for us, on that and today's showing they are going to struggle. Looking forward to watching Watkins play tomorrow on Sky, Not really a betting man but have put a couple of bob on him to score.
  18. You have obviously never seen him play in live matches, He will not flop, can't speak for any other one in your team, as I have never seen them live.
  19. I don't know where you get this premium payment from, you've be on too many click bait sites obviously, There is no premium for Villa or any other team, we set our price for a player as we are perfectly entitled to, (Just like Watkins) and if any club doesn't want to pay it, they should just move on and look elsewhere.
  20. It works for us, so we are used to see them move on, had we had made the Premier League he would still be with us, perhaps next year? then we can keep our best players.
  21. Well done, he’s worth every penny, Brentford FC website states for an undisclosed fee as per usual. There are 4 winners here Brentford FC Aston Villa Exeter City Your Fans We apparently stuck to our guns and have obtained a Record fee for us by miles, nice one, Thank you Villa. But on the other hand you will not be disappointed with him, We shall all miss him but will move on, as we always do each season, you are getting a quality player who won’t let you down, A super fit athlete who looks after himself, A workhorse, Thinks, strong and runs into the right channels, great eye for goal, versatile and can play as a striker or out wide so he gives you options, good with both feet and his head, and will only improve, what’s not to like? above all a very nice personable guy who spares time to talk to the fans, I think he will adapt to Premier League football and should give you at least 10-15 goals in his first season. All you need now is someone who can supply him with the killer pass, other than Grealish. I will keep an eye out for his performances and look forward to seeing him on Sky, will visit this site occasionally just to see what you think of him good or bad, or you just might to be glad to get rid of me on here!!!?
  22. No way, He's ranked at the same price as Watkins by Brentford.
  23. FWIW, and having watched both of them play together many times, I think they are both very good players in their own right, but work very well with each other, it's hard to choose between them as they play different roles on the pitch, I would therefore value them at about the same price, they both have the ability to improve as well, So get the cheque book out buy Benrahma as well, you know it make sense!!!
  24. No need to be concerned, after all Watkins came within 2 points of being a Premier League player in his own right, He will be fine, trust me.
  25. That would be a great move for you, they work so well together and have a great understanding of each other, would make sense.
