Vale fan here - Mitch Clark is playing every game for us, at left or right back depending on what is needed. He played left back today as Monty is still out, but will probably switch to right back when he (Monty) is back fit. It's fair to say the word most Vale fans (and me) would use is "class". He's steady on the ball, good defensively, beats a man when needed and plays it well. He had a lovely mazey run past 5 or 6 opposition players recently. In fact, a post on our forum today was moaning that we've only got him on a 6 month loan and wondering if he'd either be recalled or go to someone in League One or lower end Championship instead in January. Fingers crossed he won't.
I know it's "only" the old Division Four, but he's not phased by it and looks very comfortable. He looks too good for it really.
Stop all the negative posts about wanting him back now though eh? He'll get 35-40 odd games this season for us and come back to you a much more experienced player. And if you don't want him back, we've got a lovely number 2 or 3 shirt for him with his name on ?
