  1. Yeah, but the spread happens regardless of where you come or go from doesn't it? Whether you commute from London to Manchester you will still create havoc when that one Norwegian skiing alp fanatic acts as a superspreader. This is obviously also why it's more difficult to handle import infection in smaller areas.
  2. That's the whole point I am making. It's a hub with a lot more passengers and flights than most places.
  3. I'm talking about being able to control those who carried the virus, i.e. block it out. Not worst affected area of sick people.
  4. Checked some numbers now. You are right, there's more air travel in Australia than I suspected. But I feel my point some what stands. There's more air travel in London through Gatwick, Stanstead and Heathrow than Perth, Sidney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Auckland, Adelaid, Christchurch, Goldcoast combined ( by passenger total). And that's to a single city, while Australia and kiwis have that spread over two continents, two countries and **** knows how many square meters. But my maint point that I didn't really explain well, is that the massive traffic into the UK due to it's position in business and tourism, means they were very exposed for the import spread of covid 19. Then add the fact that the UK is half of Norway in surface area, and you're in for a difficult time. London had a really shit time in April 2020.
  5. Yeah. I can't imagine anything coming close to London or heathrow. I'll see if I can find some numbers when I'm waking up.
  6. Surely they have relatively speaking **** all business and personal travel compared to the UK? In the early phase import cases are a big big thing.
  7. Opinions on capital by thomas piketty?
  8. You really think that? I wouldn't even have him in top 5.
  9. Was more a joke. Lets just say they didn't have plastic the first time they drew straws in England.
  10. What kind of nature do you live in?
  11. Yeh pretty much. But it's a strange one for ESR, as if Arsenal dig their heels in and he has to ride out his contract, that's a situation he can't really win. But it's likely Arsenal can't actually afford that situation anyway, considering their debts.
  12. There will always be tedious bullshit speculation when you have one of the most sought-after footballers in the world. I know nothing about anything in regards to Jack, but I find it highly unlikely he'd sign a new contract with us AFTER we'd struck a deal with City. Makes no sense. Jack signed a new contract with us late September last year, and there's no chance we'd make a deal with any club between October 2020 and the European championship 2021. No chance. We'd be idiots, and our owners seem like the complete opposite.
  13. Yeah the term journalist is used loosely these days, but in their defence, at least the journalists I know, rarely earn more than normal well paid professions. Watching these agents getting 15% of transfer fees that's moved into the £ 100 million range is **** insane. To me they are about as useful as real estate agents. Sorry if anyone have that profession here.
  14. Being an agent. Is there anyone in the world that gets more out of doing less? Parasites.
  15. Maybe a discussion for another thread, but definitely yes. I've seen plenty of players that wasn't considered any where near GOAT, to have better general vision, technique and football brain than Ronaldo. But he is such a fantastic athlete that it makes him stand out. It's his jumping ability, strength, pace, winning mentality that makes him stand out to me. And there's nothing wrong with that. It's part of the package. A footballer needs to cover both the footballing part and the athletic part, but Ronaldo excelled far more in the latter than the former.
  16. I agree with him. Ronaldo got to become a world class player because of his athleticism more than anything.
  17. Exceptional athlete, both physically and mentally. Was always a better athlete than footballer imo.
  18. I fecking hate the term top 4 to begin with. That CL ruined football so much. Genuinly talking up the fact that you don't finish first, second or third, but bloody fourth. Like being fourth best at something has ever been impressing. My arse.
  19. Been doing really well lately. After 12 months off I'm now at the 5th week with sessions every other day. Not at where I was by any stretch, but have increased a lot in all compounds. Lovely feeling. Only annoying thing is that I feel my old shoulder injury is there and I still feel a real groin tightness on my left side during squats. While it's annoying we're going on a 3 week vaca now, maybe it's good to rest a bit too. Think I might add some yoga to the programme too, cause these injuries keep following me.
  20. How about being moved into the senior squad? Are there candidates that realistically will get a spot?
  21. Tammy would unquestionably strengthen us, but I don't see how there's a point throwing £ 40 million at Chelsea. I'm really not sure Chelsea are in a great position to ask a big fee. £ 20-25 million more likely.
  22. Think it's safe to say if that happens we won't be short on money for other purchases.
  23. Then ignore him. They still have more options than us. Point stands.
  24. You can, because to me they are more forwards than AEG and Traore are. You don't give out positions based on goal involvements stats. Otherwise Hourihane would be one and also a few goalkeepers.
